I don't know. But it is said to have Vader in it. Depending on the time line of Thrawn (which I haven't really worked out yet) it is more likely to be - uh - after?

 

I'm guessing post season 4, pre-ANH. It's about time the New EU had it's own Thrawn trilogy.

Even if I wish he could have kept his Thrawn voice from the Heir to the Empire Anniversary audiobook which I loved... instead of trying to imitate Lars Mikkelsen.

 

I'm definitely getting in on the Thrawn comic adaptation and pretty sure by then I can get the new Thrawn book by Zhan. He's probably going to end up writing another Thrawn trilogy, I reckon. I really hope Thrawn isn't killed off the Rebels series finale. I would be very happy if he's set off to the Unknown Regions and be brought back in the post-Endor period.

I was looking up Timothy Zahn interviews on youtube and found a good one by Roqoo Depot from 2012 at SW Celebration 6. When asked why he didn't let Thrawn somehow escape and survive the trilogy, Timothy Zahn explained and in a pretty long answer.. but the one sentence that stuck out to me was this:

"If Thrawn escapes, realistically the New Republic is doomed. Because he will eventually beat them"

As we all know Thrawn is basically a genius, so it's easy to hypothesize on what would happen if he did survive (and if you ignore the other parts of the post-ROTJ eu). But the fact Zahn said flatout that Thrawn would definitely beat the New Republic if he survived, that shows you how truly dangerous Thrawn was

I know the newest book will likely have plenty of flashbacks to Anakin and thrawn’s time together. I would still love a book with him set during the Clone Wars.
