He said not to if you wanna go in clean. Just a warning if people don't want ANY plot points.

We're all incredibly excited, especially given all the Fleet Junkie goodness in the trailer. However, as a friendly reminder again, let's make sure we all focus on the ships themselves, not the plot points they appear in or the characters that may be present. This thread is fortunate in that we have a longstanding pass on discussing ship spoilers openly, but let's keep it on the ships. [face_peace]

Now, back to the warships. :D

This is probably my favorite shot. All three main Resistance warships shown. To left, we have the Mon Cala heavy cruiser Raddus. On the right, we have what I'm definitely thinking is a Nebulon-K escort frigate and a third escort ship. The engine banks arrangement and their orange/yellow glow make me think in may be a Corellian design, but we'll learn more in the coming months.

I gotta say- the stern of the Raddus is gorgeous. As I said yesterday, it harkens back to Home One, but is actually even cooler. Given that is was constructed and launched by the time of the Concordance, that ship would look entirely at home alongside her smaller sister ships:

    Civilian vessels? Where? :p

But you are correct. Probably more accurate to say "back to the starships", as that term is all encompassing!

I think the Raddus' booty game isn't as top tier as other Mon Cal ships but I love the rest of it.

Also I need to retract my previous nuclear threat:
There better not be FOUR movies in a row where the good guy ships get blown up, because Rebels got wrecked in TFA at Hosnian, Rogue One at Scarif, and in Zero Hour at Atollon. Give us goody-goodies a friggin' break already, sheesh!

Peltas actually aren't medical ships- they're modular frigates. They were most commonly used for medical purposes, but they could be configured for many different purposes.

Listen, I don't love seeing Rebel/New Republic/Resistance ships lost either, but we understand why it is important from a thematic & storytelling standpoint. It raises the stakes, it crystalizes the threat, and it drives the good guys to victory.

So, yeah, I don't expect to see the Resistance Navy escape unscathed in TLJ. However, come Episode IX, I fully expect to see a glorious naval victory and our heroes victorious! :D

I'd like the evacuation to go like ESB Infinities. They'll evacuate but most of the ships won't make it. If they're going to rehash Hoth it better go differently.

This really makes me excited for the upcoming reference books. The incredible cross sections for these new ships will be amazing.

So, confirmed TLJ vehicles so far from all sources (not previously seen in TFA):
    1. Canto Bight Police Speeders
    2. Canto Bight luxury speeders
    3. Crait Ski Speeders
    4. B/SF-17 Resistance Bombers
    5. The Raddus
    6. Raddus Lifeboats
    7. Mandator IV Dreadnought
    8. Mega Star Destroyer Supremacy
    9. AT-M6
    10. AT-AT retrofit
    11. AT-ST retrofit
    12. RZ-2 A-wing
    13. Poe's supercharged T-70 X-wing
    14. TIE Silencer
    15. Unidentified Resistance frigate (horizontal)
    16. Unidentified Resistance frigate (vertical) (possible Nebulon K or Starhawk)
    17. Unidentified Resistance ship (clamshell) (GR75?)
    18. Unidentified First Order shuttle
    19. Walker Racks (can't tell if these are autonomous hovering carriers or connected to a gantry)
    Not yet verified:
    • Starhawk Battleship
    • T-85 X-wing
    • First Order TIE Bombers
    • First Order Strandbeast
Gotta say, this is definitely shaping up to be better than TFA's roster. Tell me if my scrutiny missed anything in the trailer's detail.

That's not an actual shot from the film though, look again at the AT-ATs, they're copypasted from ESB, but the TLJ trailer shows ATATs that look modernized and refitted. That was just promotional content and it cannot be readily verified any more than the LEGO AT-ST strandbeast crabwalker thing until such time as we see it in a movie or other form of media.

ooohhh nice catch. Maybe there is hope the bombers will look a bit cooler if they are in the film then

Oh and on the topic of walkers anyone see the walker thing behind Finn at 1:41?

It's interesting to see how wide the shield bubble is for the Raddus. Far wider than we've ever seen before, IIRC. Maybe another testament to Mon Cala shield engineering? Also- nice to see that the ship has rear facing anti-starfighter batteries. I note a few shots fired back at the TIE Silencer. I'm hoping we see the Resistance navy firing shots, I know one of the complaints about the Battle of Scarif was the extremely limited capital ship fire from the Rebel Fleet.

Topps gave us a look at the First Order AT-AT retrofits:

Looks like a AT-ACT head mounted on an up-armored regular walker body. Also, there is a new First Order warship behind BB-8 in this shot with a small bridge, though it might be the dreadnought and that bridge detaches:

And for your fleet junkie pleasure:

No, that's the FO dreadnought. Note in the pic below the small towers under the main bridge. This is a shot of Poe's X-wing on the far side of the ship.

Ok, so we got our first look at her stern then. :)

In fact, she has got quite an interesting engine set up:

    Adm. Nick,
Whats your guess on the origin of all these new resistance ships? I was assuming (and HOPING) that they would be New Republic fleet remnant ships, but it seems this is not the case. Pablo hidalgo more or less confirmed this. I don't see what these guys have against the NR being in the films but oh well.....

My guess would be individual Republic or friendly planets' PSFs. It doesn't totally make sense to me, but they've been reasonably consistent that "the Republic Fleet" is very specifically the formation blown up with Hosnian Prime.

There’s something about the Raddus’ stern that reminds me of the Malevolence’s engines.

i betcha anything that little protrusion we saw from The Nebulon K was a B/SF-17 heavy bomber next to it and it just looks like the Nebulon K had a long attachment.
