I joined a strike game late and ended up with 21 kills. Not bad. The Wookiee is great.

I think you are missing something here. The main problem with the system is not that people can gain an advantage for paying, it's the simple fact that it is gambling and this is a game that will be played by children. The gambling regulations do not currently cover this so EA can get away with asking vulnerable children to gamble with their parents money without them realizing it. What EA are doing should be illegal in a game rated OK for children.

That map on Theed needs a high altitude background aerial battle happening up in the sky or something. Aside from the swirling leaves and doves, it's so sterile looking. It barely looks like a battle is happening.

I'm sad the beta is over. It was so fun!:(
It will be hard to wait another month for release.

My only real complaint, besides some on and off lag, was that they ditched the ability to turn your lightsaber on and off manually. When Rey or Maul run, it turns off, but when standing still or walking it stays on no matter what. It's a minor complaint, but I really like the ability to turn it on and off with the flick of a button.
It adds some really nice emersion.

A funny little thing I did yesterday; when I got Rey for a brief bit at the behining of phase two, I ran into Han Solo who was standing by waiting for Droids to attack.
I used the 'I can Handle Myself' emoji right in front of him.
That alone was slightly amusing to me, though a minute later I was dead at Mauls hands, which turned it from amusing to Ironic.:p

Speaking of Rey and droids, my sneak attack on them during the second phase wasn't recorded. I knew I should have specified a time for the Xbox to record instead of just pressing record that. The only thing it got was me being killed right as Victory came up on screen and the results.
I at least got some other good recordings, though most are from when I was still new to playing.

I only got one recording of when I was playing as a Clone and had a fist fight with a Droid. It was quite amusing.

The servers went off in the middle of my second killing spree with a Super Battle Droid and I was gutted. I never got to play as Maul or Boba but those B2s are so fun to play as.

I did, but some of the milestones were...broken if I dare say.

Also, I just knew this update would result in the beta being over. At least I can still look through the menus!

No. All you can do is access and update your class/vehicle/hero build.

I already miss the beta. I loathed Starfighter combat in the first game, but Starfighter Assault was my favorite mode of this beta. I want to fly around and shoot stationary turrets as the Rebels again just to build up my points to unlock Poe Dameron's X-Wing again. Or play as a bomber and go straight for the objectives. Or attempt to shoot down enemy fighters in first person.

Shame. I was really hoping the reason that arcade stuff was included was to at least leave something for the players until launch.
Count me in as one wanting to get back to it as soon as.

Since EA's website is atrocious on mobile, here is the full text of the post:

As game makers, watching millions of passionate players get their hands on our game has been incredibly exciting and – in many ways – inspiring. Believe us when we say that your participation is making the game better, and we’re humbled that so many of you took time to not only try the Star Wars Battlefront II Beta, but to share your thoughts with us too.

The Beta was just a small piece of what we're making. Yes, there’s more content (new locations, heroes, modes, and the all-new single-player campaign), but we heard your feedback loud and clear after the first game. There is more player choice in multiplayer through a deeper progression system and an evolving, event-driven live service that keeps the community together by moving away from Season Pass and having all new gameplay content free for all Star Wars Battlefront II players.
Rest assured, we’re continuing to listen to you coming out of Beta. We’re taking a look at some of the most discussed topics, from Crates and progression to Strike mode (which we're considering changing to a best of three), the Specialist’s Infiltration ability (which might be a little too overpowered) and more. Oh, and the First Order Flametrooper needs some work – we agree he could use a little more... firepower. We are also looking into more ways to allow players to stay and play together as a team – for launch, we’ll have a new feature for you that rewards all players in a spawn wave. These are just a few examples of how your feedback is helping to shape the game.

We know you have a lot of questions about Crates and progression, so we want to clarify a few things, as the complete system was not in the Beta and will continue to be tuned over time:

There are many things you can earn in the game, including weapons, attachments, credits, Star Cards, Emotes, Outfits and Victory Poses.

As a balance goal, we’re working towards having the most powerful items in the game only earnable via in-game achievements.

Crates will include a mix of of Star Cards, Outfits, Emotes or Victory Poses.

Players earn crates by completing challenges and other gameplay milestones, or by purchasing them with in-game credits or Crystals, our premium currency.

If you get a duplicate Star Card in a crate, you will get crafting parts which you can then use to help upgrade the Star Card of your choice.

And lastly, you have to earn the right to be able to upgrade Star Cards and unlock most Weapons. You can only upgrade or unlock them if you have reached a high enough rank, which is determined by playing the game.
We also have heard some players are looking for a way to play where all players will have the same set of Star Cards with flattened values. Like everything else, we will be continually making necessary changes to ensure the game is fun for everyone. We will work to make sure the system is balanced both for players who want to earn everything, as well as for players who are short on time and would like to move faster in their progress towards various rewards.
And you, our community, will play a big role in the evolution of the game. Whether it’s comments on our forums or posts over social media, we’re listening. Your feedback makes a difference, and your passion is what keeps us creating.
Again, we want to thank you for taking part in the Beta and helping us make sure that the launch will be, to quote a certain masked Sith Lord, a day long remembered. We’ll have much more to share with you before we see you on the battlefront in November.

If you can progress classes by playing the class and earning xp rather than crates/RNG, that may change my mind about things with this game.

I left the Beta really disliking that aspect of the crate system. I played as Assault class most often, and ended the Beta at level 7. I played officer the least, and ended level 12 or 13. I found that to be rather ridiculous.

Oh, to be able to sleep from now until launch and just skip all the speculation and demands and grief. Of course, that said,

whatever could this mean? I miss the partner system. I have a buddy I partnered up with all the time, and we had a funny inside joke going for whenever he noticed that I died. In the beta it was almost like we were on different servers when we were in a big mode. Tying teamwork to spawn time makes a certain amount of sense, but it's just too ephemeral and random to result in anything meaningful.

Nothing wrong at all with Battlefield's squad and spawn system, by the by... Letting people spawn in on their squad/partner might also help the maps feel less empty while everyone's running back to the action from the same spawn point.

This Crate System will hurt the Game a lot.
After playing the Beta im really not sure what to make of this Game, my biggest isue is that you need way to much hits for a kill and the Blasters overheat way to fast.
I mostly play Blast so i will wait how this turns out.

One of the changes they'll be making (or have already made) is that the ranking of each class will follow gameplay instead of depending on cards available as in the beta. So we won't see instances where you have a high class rank for a class that you never played (I had a very high rank for the bomber class, even though I literally had never played as one). With the revisions in place, even if you get lucky and manage to snag a 3-tier card, you won't necessarily be able to use it until your class is advanced enough.

Oh boy, the wait for the full game is going to be difficult. I'm in a huge Star Wars mood and want to consume everything I can but also trying to avoid spoilers from the TLJ trailer (which is everywhere). The game is going to help when it comes out, but between now and then...

The wait will be tough, but there's a bunch of other great games coming out in October, like South Park, The Evil Within 2, and Wolfenstein 2. Those should keep me occupied for the next month.

I don't know if they need to go that far but yeah this is crap news. The Uncharted games are some of my favorites of all time so the idea that Amy Hennig, (formally of Naughty Dog) was working on this Star Wars game had me very excited. Now the rumor is that they're going to turn the game into a Destiny clone. No thanks!
