Haha! He's the one that insisted I'd like The West Wing even though I wasn't very excited to watch it (until he showed me the pilot). I just passed along the love, we can't help that we feed off each other. So really he has no one to blame but himself. Though when I start talking about our head-canon, he does often say he created a monster.

If you enjoy(ed) writing the character, **** the Litmus Test.

One thing I worked out using it, if your character has just one reincarnation / resurrection, there is absolutely nothing that you can do, to recover from the Mary Sue position.

Which, IMO, is complete rubbish. I tried running any number of characters from classic literature through it and the only ones that didn't turn out to be Mary Sues were Vladimir and Estragon from Waiting for Godot. The person who made it apparently believes that only anti-heroes aren't Mary Sues.
