ST Rey's New Lightsaber

I've been a big proponent of Rey wielding a double bladed lightsaber since seeing her staff ability in TFA. Now that the Anakin/Luke/Rey lightsaber has been busted, will she fix that one or will she create a double bladed one? Or perhaps, she will create sort of a pike-saber combining the saber with her staff.

I'm leaning towards about 50% double bladed, 35% pike-saber, 15% "reforging" Anakin's. Anyone else have their opinions altered either way based on the events of Ep 8?

 

It needs to be double-bladed it's such a no-brainer. I also want it to be a different colour or shade because I'm sick of blue.

Does it matter, she's now that powerful she could Force-choke anyone including Kylo from the far side of the galaxy.

 

I'm thinking it will be blue, since that has literally become the dominant color (Ben's, Luke's projection which was weird). Double bladed would be cool though.

 

I've been hoping for a Rey double-bladed lightaber ever since I saw her using that staff.
C'mon JJ, make it happen!

 

Never really thought about the color but I'm kinda neutral provided we don't get pink. Yellow double bladed would be pretty cool.

 

I bet she'll make it out of the kyber crystal of the broken saber. There was a pretty clear shot of it in the scene with Leia on the Falcon.

It could be a different color, though, since wouldn't she have to bond with it again?

Do you think that Rey will construct a completely new lightsaber design for episode IX? Could it possibly be a double ended saber or attached to her staff?

 

Sure why not?

 

Would be interesting to see if she decided to stick to the normally design or not. Would personally prefer her to stick to the regular design over a staff design.

 

Also it would be cool if she had a green light saber but we're supposed to be letting go of the past so that might not happen.

She will fix the blue one.

 

She'll probably make her own lightsaber with the help of the Jedi texts that she stole. However, mark my words, Ben will ultimately be the one to reforge Anakin's lightsaber as a symbol of his redemption and accepting his place as the heir to Skywalker.

 

Everyone would speculate it to be the the double-bladed staff for the two years, but it will turn out to be the generic typical lightsaber.

Yes, this is how it always seems to go.

 

Double bladed lightsaber all the way is my preference.

If they keep with the idea of balance between light and dark they would go with a white color like Ashoka Tano. However, I doubt they will have the guts to go there, so likely a blue colored saber.

 

Double bladed blue lightsaber using the kyber crystal from the Skywalker lightsaber. It makes the most sense... and reflects her usage of the "staff" she uses.

 

If she's Rey Nobody, she really should move on from the Skywalker lightsaber. She needs to create her own, crystal and all.

 

I really want to see her with a a yellow Crystal if possible, but I doubt it will happen. If she gets a double bladed lightsaber I will be so so so happy.

I need to see the movie again to make sure, but I saw somewhere that the blue crystal from the lightsaber also cut in half along with the blade? That could mean something. Either way I really hope we get a scene of her building it. Possibly using parts of her staff.
