Ahsoka opted to save Rex than focus on the imprisoned Maul during the chaos of Order 66 . Ahsoka had previously opted not to terminate him when he was captured in the ray shield trap. His escape at some point later on off camera as recited by Ahsoka was only in passing as she reflected back on the battle and Order 66, and she did not seem surprised that he had. It seems his capture, Order 66 and his escape all occurred simultaneously.

 

But Padmé's announcement of her pregnancy to Anakin and Order 66 did not occur simultaneously.

 

Exactly. The way ROTS is constructed, there's at least several weeks, but probably months, between the opening battle above Coruscant and Order 66.

Also, slightly off topic, but I really wish they would extend the duration of the Clone Wars in canon from 3 years to 6 or 8 (based on the number of seasons of TCW). It would make things less cramped, it would make more sense story-wise, as the galaxy is supposed to be tired and desperate to end the war, and it would fit better with Obi-Wan's and Anakin's appearances in the OT, where they look much older than they should be (yeah, you can sort of explain it by Tatooine's harsh climate and Anakin's wounds and the dark side, but still...).

 

I think Pablo has said that it takes place over a couple of days and the fact that Natalie Portman used the same belly prosthetic during the entire movie supports this.

I do agree that it feels like longer though.

A couple of days, hmm? ... After Anakin and Palpatine came back from the Invisible Hand, N. Portman didn't wear any fake-womb yet. And, funny to tell that, but if she would have to tell Anakin about it, when she's near giving birth, it is ridiculous that Anakin hadn't take notice of her swollen body before, even as a Jedi.

 

All the dresses that Padmé/Portman wears during the movies are conceived to hide a big belly (except the ones she wears in private). See for yourself :

This is among the unfinished episodes of The Clone Wars and possibly the last arc planned for the show. Personally, I would like to see an animated TV miniseries but what do you think?

I think they should bookend the Clone Wars series with another animated film.

I don't know that really depends on whether Lucasfilm would make an animated spin-off film

 

They want to make the most money possible so I don’t see them going animated at least with TCW

It wasn't shot down. It simply was not fully developed since it was in one of the future seasons still being written.

I'm trying to read through this thread but couldn't find it. What, if any, of the arcs listed here as unfinished have been told in a comic, book, or other format? I've been to the TCW panels at the last two US Celebrations, which showed snippets of animatics, but I don't recall any full episodes.

7.21-7.24? Siege of Madalore / Revenge of the Sith (Concept Art and Frist Drafts) Ahsoka, Rex, Anakin, and Obi-Wan are working with Bo Katan to Capture Maul and re-take Mandalore. Anakin and Obi-Wan are called off to rescue the Chancellor who was kidnapped by Grievous. During Order 66 Rex helps Ahsoka escape.
