Characters Established characters you would like to see in (more) stories!

It's odd that we don't have a thread about this already, so I thought I'd make one.

What established characters have you never seen featured in fanfics, saw just a couple of times or as mentions/indirect mentions; yet you would love to see more of them? Go ahead...

Talon Karrde. Ghent. Thrawn. LOL Yes, I like Zahn characters.
I also like lady leads: more Winter, Iella Antilles, before and after she married Wedge. Tendra before and after Lando

And a nod to the amazing Wookiee expert Chyntuck -- more Wookiees -- OCs and established.

One established character I'm totally chuffed is not getting more air time is Borsk

 

I actually wanted Borsk as a part of my fic-gift request, to appear at the very end, regardless of continuity, and pull a John Cleese. But yeah, I gave up, the request is already what-the-kriff the way it is. But I cooooooould use it elsewhere...and you KNOW where that would be...

Talon Karrde and his crew. For some reason I think of all the Star Wars characters I would get along with Talon Karrde the best. Han's too cocky, Luke's too Jedi. Leia is too pushy. Mara would probably be constantly threatening to kill me...especially if she found out about those L/M PWP stories I wrote years ago. Yeah, Talon Karrde is the man I want to read about.

 

The real list would be about 10,000 people long, but...

Maz Kanata: We're constantly hinted that her life has been a long and fascinating one; she'd be a great character for a "historical novel" type of story.

More of the Rogues and Wraiths, including the new ones that showed up in Mercy Kill: Because those books were some of the best in the EU and there were so many well-developed interesting characters... and also not-very-developed but interesting characters who clearly had material for more stories.

Sabine Wren: Though I'm still working my way through the third season of Rebels, I feel like she's had the least spotlight time so far (along with Zeb, though thankfully fanfic on these boards has provided in that department )

Winter (Celchu): I'd love to see more of her life as a Rebel agent.

Corwin Shelvay: I know, I know. Rando obscurity for the win! But I have such mixed feelings on the fact that no one really seems to know what became of this guy. Probably died in the Rebellion. Probably. But maybe not...

Tash and Zak Arranda: Another from the obscurity pit. What can I say, I liked those books.

Lando Calrissian: Had his own book series in the EU, but it seems like a while since he's really been in the spotlight novel-wise. You know he'd hate that.

 

Didn't see this before.

I know somebody who's been doing this for a while - writing a teenage Tendra and, hopefully soon, Tendra in her 20s, with hopes that there's a way to shoehorn her relationship with Lando in the new canon and make it as beautiful as it was in Legends. Hint: she owes you a PM.

There are plenty who have been used extensively who I am always glad to read. Granted my dips into the EU and fan fic are limited, but...

 

I would love to see more stories with Palpatine.

There's a huge, huge number of Mara Jade fics on here. Most of them are in "Beyond Legends", so use that to find 'em.

 

Myn Donos. I know of a handful of fics with him, but I heart me some Myn. I should read Wraith Squadron again. I miss Allston, and I would have loved to see how Allston would write Poe. But I digress.

Captain Raymus Antilles, especially now that From a Certain Point of View gave him a tiny bit of background and characterization to build off of.

Mister Bones. Because it's Mister Bones.

 

Agree with this, and I’ll add the Outcast and Atton Rand from KOTOR 2, because they totally got shafted as far as the ending. Heck, all the charactin KOTOR did.

Does Karen Gillan have a distinctive enough voice that you can recognise it in text form?

Lor San Tekka. He struck me as someone who has an awesome backstory; I saw him as an Indiana Jones type of the GFFA.
