Discussion Actors you'd like to see in Star Wars

Yup. Just watched the Rebels season opener, and that's why I thought of him.

 

I'd love to see Zoey Deutch in Star Wars.

 

I've brought up some choices before but they aren't that far back only two pages. New one I had though after The Last Jedi is the idea of a female Emperor type figure Dark Side User who is in control.

We've had dark side users and Sith in Canon and Legends who are not the big villain in charge like Ventress or the Seventh Sister or if you want to go Legends people like Darth Talon and there were people in Legends who were Sith Masters or powerful in charge dark side users or maybe a leader Emperor type but I'd like to see it in canon for something different. I heard they were considering making Snoke female and that would have been an interesting twist.

But if they were to do this I think Tilda Swinton has the ability and look to pull this role off. Maybe a little obvious I'm sure but that's who I want as the female Emperor or Supreme Leader or whatever title they use next.

 

Great thread, with great ideas. I can see Cumberbatch as an Imperial/villain. Denzel would be good and he is fan of Star Wars.

However, Sebastian Stan as a young Luke is my choice. We have been deprived of seeing Luke Skywalker in his prime demonstrating his superior Force skills (Thanks Rian Johnson )
So the next best thing would be a Luke anthology film.

 

I am 100% down for Sebs as Luke; though not sure I would like Disney to continue with Luke. I think I would rather see something else with the Guardians of the Whills. Benedict would be a good idea too, but not as an Imperial. Something completely different...

My only choice would be Ewan again.

 

Honestly, Cumberbatch in Star Wars as anything would be pretty entertaining. We are pretty sure to get Ewan again in Kenobi

Daniel Day-Lewis would be amazing in any role he played. Eddie Redmayne, Jessica Chastain, Jon Bernthal, Tilda Swinton, Tom Hanks, Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Tom Cruise, Keanu Reeves, Morgan Freeman, Leo DiCaprio, Cate Blanchett.

I mentioned Oscar Winner Alicia Vikander before as perfect for Star Wars. Pumped to see her play Lara Croft in Tomb Raider in 2018.

I'd love to see Christian Bale in a SW movie. Hopefully they can make that happen at some point.

Yes. Speaking as someone who really enjoyed Luke's role in TLJ, I still definitely want to see Stan play a young Luke, perhaps 5-7 years post-ROTJ.

 

Since she's become more of a big name of late, I suppose I'll throw Millie Bobby Brown into this thread. I think she could be great in SW-well, just about anything. Though I'd reserve her character for the new trilogy, since she's too good of an actor to just throw into the last part of the ST. She could carry a whole arc IMO.

 

Should they eventually do movies between ROTJ and TFA, joining Ehrenreich and Glover, I'd like to see Dacre Montgomery and Hailee Steinfeld as Luke and Leia. Maybe like 10 years from now.

And I'd love to Christian Bale as a Jedi Master, someone with a tragic but kind vibe, kinda like his 3:10 to Yuma character.

Also Gary Oldman. Perhaps as an Imperial officer like Tarkin.

I think a-list actors work better as supporting characters, and having new or lesser known actors work better as the leads.

I’d love to see Jerome Flynn as a smuggler type character. Maybe an imperial would work too.

Karen Gillan, Alicia Vikander and Nathalie Emmanuel could definitely make some awesome heroines.

Christoph Waltz and Javier Bardem as lead villains. Waltz would’ve made a great Thrawn.

Idris Elba as a hero. Maybe a mentor type role.

Pedro Pascal, Rory McCann and Liam Cunningham could play cool types of heroes.

Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Aidan Gillan as villains.

Michael Fassbender as anyone!

 

Evangeline Lilly, maybe post-Marvel.
Amy Acker in some really quirky role, for which SW has plenty of potential.

 

Cate Blanchett would make an awesome villain as well. Also Tessa Thompson as a bounty hunter/mercenary of some kind.
