When you spend hours researching what Marvel characters can be seen as Goth for an AU one shot that you MIGHT write.

 

When you mix soundtracks to create a soundtrack for the fanfiction your currently writing.

 

...you simply HAVE to own one of your main OC's top #1 accessory!

 

.....when you are trying to figure out what your OC would wear, and the next thing you know, you are frantically scrounging through Pinterest, pinning anything and everything that feels like their style, your mind racing with such thoughts as:

"That armor thing is awesome, but she needs clothes to wear under it. Hey, purple catsuit! Perfect!"

"I'm planning to have her get married at some point. I need to find her a wedding dress."

"Ooh! She needs underwear! What kind of underwear would she wear?"

This question is a returning one for me, especially since so many of my characters are female and have different styles. I can't just give them all plain sports underwear

...you need to re-watch "Adam" to get Rose Byrne's body language and expressions right and you see it with different eyes now that you're no longer involved with a guy like Adam was - you actually pay attention to her character, Beth.

...you decide to keep your epic on hiatus for two weeks instead of one, in order to write a couple of things for other people and (hopefully) make them happy.

I've invented two sets of underwear on the fly, but not enough to make a Fanon entry.

Amazon has a big involvement in the styles of my OCs.

 

I invented a lingerie designer, does that count?

 

...you get a bizarre plot bunny and it's not for a crack!fic.

 

....when you do a fictional family tree not once, but twice... and the second time to answer a behind the scenes question for yourself. (If I had a great-grandfather I never met that was born in the 1880's and had what amounts to three different families, then so can a fictional character... and that was how I made my mother laugh this week. Hee.)
