ST The Last Jedi Blu-Ray/DVD (US dates: March 13th Digital and March 27th Blu-Ray/DVD)

In this moment, we know that:
Star Wars: The Last Jedi officially clocked in at 2 hours and 30 minutes, but director Rian Johnson says there is still 20 minutes worth of deleted scenes ready to go. Johnson describes each deleted scene that will be included on The Last Jedi Blu-Ray.
This particualr scene is an extended cut of Finn and Rose infiltrating Snoke’s star Destroyer.

“There’s a whole extended sequence where Finn and Rose and DJ sneak through the Mega Destroyer when they’re kind of, after they sneak in with DJ and they’re trying to find the tracker. There’s a whole extended sequence. It’s a full sequence of like stuff with them sneaking through this big office area of the Mega Destroyer and then having to fake out these Stormtroopers.”​

Another cut sequence will feature an emotional scene between Rey and Luke Skywalker on Ach-To:

“And then on the island there’s a massive sequence that we shot with Daisy and Mark, which is kind of an additional sort of trial/test that she goes through, that involves her and Mark, and then a big emotional scene between the two of them. I mean, it’s big stuff, it’s like actual real scenes.”​

Johnson also states that there will be more scenes included, such as Poe catching up with Finn, and more Rey on Ach-To scenes. What excites me the most is these are fully edited scenes that we’ll be seeing. This sounds like the first time we are going to get a really solid Blu-Ray. The Force Awakens and Rogue One Blu-Ray sets lacked special features big time. I’m hoping we’ll also get cast interviews, commentaries, and a documentary.

Like, actual REAL scenes would have been nice in the film, genius.

 

I really wonder why this emotional scene between Luke and Rey is not in the movie. This would have been needed.

Amazon.co.uk seem to be doing their Light side/Dark Side sleeves again. Only this time its First Order/Resistance. I don't know where they came out in the USA but I would assume they will do it again

 

I've never been this excited to have a SW on blu ray. Can't wait.

RJ's commentary is gonna be a must listen.

 

It's Luke's third lesson for Rey. And involves the caretakers and their village.

I loved that the 3rd lesson will now be on IX. Which will be a different lesson, of course.

Well, you’re in the discussion already. Do you think you’d like the film better with a scene where Luke tells Rey there’s an invading pirate force, Rey runs to save them then it turns out Luke tricked her and there was no danger and Rey angrily tells Luke to take stuff seriously?

Is there a confirmation that the set includes a commentary?

In the weeks before the movie's release, I remember Rian posting a tweet about him recording the commentary. So while not confirmed, it's a pretty safe bet.

 

They could be greedy and release the master blaster version with commentary afterwards, like they did with TFA.

 

Hoping for more Tallie in the deleted scenes.

 

TFA was a monster hit where they could get away with it. I doubt they could get away with it with TLJ.
