AOTC is my second, was at the top for a while, but TPM rose up and took the throne.

Sure. If i were to rank them, AOTC would be in the top tier.

I can handle the constant hatred towards the Holiday Special, but no way is the RHPS a "so bad it's good" movie. It is exactly what it sets out to be. If you can't dig that, fair enough, but to call it "bad" is missing the point entirely. I mean, how exactly would one improve a campy musical homage to sci-fi B movies? Get Dustin Hoffman in there?

I have it third tied with Empire Strikes Back if that makes sense.
I think it's @Valency Jane 's favorite but may be mistaken.

    It's also @Darkslayer 's second.

(and yes I do remember some of y'alls rankings :p)

1, Star Wars Revenge Of The Sith

2, Star Wars Return Of The Jedi
3, Star Wars The Empire Strike Back
4, Star Wars A New Hope
5, Star Wars The Last Jedi
7, Star Wars Attack Of The Clones
8, Star Wars The Force Awakens
9, Star Wars The Phantom Menace

6, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story

AOTC is actually kinda low.. I know @Darkslayer and @Deliveranze have ROTS as their favorite. Who else?? @DarthAnakin96 and @heels1785 I believe right??
Cause anyone who doesn't rank ROTS as #1 is simply wrong..... Ok JK... Please don't kill me..

I can't object to calling it "bad" per se, but I know you like it a lot. As AMJ once said, I just want to destroy people's illusion that SW was anything more than a glorified sci-fi B-movie. It's not high-brow; never was. It's a campy series for kids that has a lot to offer for adults too.

I mostly just posted that because I wanted to see what you guys think. I mean I think the HS is "bad," but not that "bad." But then again, I also thought All Quiet on the Western Front wasn't good, so don't take my word for it.

Edit: about Rocky Horror, it's supposed to be bad, like you said. It's not like Ed Wood's stuff, who apparently had no idea what a good movie was like.

I don't rank GL's Star Wars movies, but AotC is the one I keep coming back to the most. I enjoy every frame of it to the fullest. Maybe that's my way of saying it's my favorite, idk. But it's not like I enjoy any of the others less. Maybe it's that it and RotJ are the ones that hit all the feels for me.

There's a difference between camp, like Rocky Horror, and, "I think the screenwriter/director might have a personality disorder," like The Room or Plan 9. Rocky Horror might be in bad taste, but that's the point.

But speaking of which I did just finish The Book Of Henry. A little wonky in the 3rd act, and a little directionless as to who it's supposed to be for, but I have to say it's kind of a must see in it's own weird "how did this get made" way.

The ironic thing is, the message kind of makes sense now after the release TLJ.

Next choice for RYL movie night anyone?
