All right then, as Chancellor, I am opening the floor for new business.

 

First, can we establish when the next election will take place? I'd suggest sometime between January 20 and 31. Perhaps the twenty-ninth, since we need days for nominating and voting.

 

I would agree with the 29th that makes the most sense to me.

 

The Senator from Crait hovers their podium from their place among the other senators.

"I concur with the senators of Thyferra and Taris. I believe that the 29th would serve as a perfect day for a re-election. A time to renew and reflect on the month as a whole. Might I suggest that elections be held two days prior to the end of the calendar month to give us time to vote?"

I did that just before the holidays, senator. Those who did not respond were added to inactive.

 

Well, it looks like many of the Senators have been voted out. This is politics after all.
