The explanation I remember goes like this:

    1. Imagine a backyard. It represents the galaxy.
    2. Imagine it's firefly season. Each firefly represents a technologically advanced civilization.
    3. Every time a firefly lights up, it represents how long that particular civilization existed.

Now, for two of these societies to meet, they would have to light up at the same time, in the same exact spot.

So, is it possible for TWO fireflies to light up in the same exact spot, at the same exact time?

Personally, I believe it's happened in the past, it's happening in the present, and will happen in the future. [face_alien]

I just wish we hadn't slowed down on the space stuff so much. If we had as much vigor as we did back during the days of landing on the moon we might have already landed on Mars.

It's so true. Honestly, I can't even believe the deceleration. We should have colonies on the moon by now.

I think LEGO Batman 2 was the first game where the characters talk, and that was from 2012.

I have never played Lego JW and would like to play Lego TFA. Someone made a Lego Force Awakens trailer, the first one where Finn pops up in the desert.

My son asks me: "did you watch Episode II?"
I respond, "I've watched Episodes I, II, II.5, III, III.5, IV, V, VI, VII and VII."

The funniest thing about that scene is how Han has absolutely no reaction to Greedo's face hitting the table. It's so deadpan.

Ya know, that might be fair to say?
One can never tell a person's intent though.

George Lucas seems like a humble, reserved man who spends a lot if time thinking in his brain. Carrie Fisher mentioned how she and Mark used to practically torture poor GL with their eccentric personalities during SW filming.

What did Carrie say about ANH?
'You can't write this stuff?' Or maybe it was Harrison? In any case, the big three got their digs in on old GL and so forth.
    That's fine.

    However. *dun-dun-dun*

GL created it. All of it. It's true.
Yea sure he was inspired by mythology and Japanese films and USA serial adventures and ancient religions and hell, maybe even Star Trek, yet, he invented and wrote and created a new universe which is arguably more inspiring than all of those.

    Take Star Wars, for example.
You've got two individualized, personable droids. Jawas. Sand people. And a Dark Lord of the Sith. A smart, rebellious, feisty Princess.
All within the first half hour! That's remarkable.

All of that before we even reach the Lars homestead.

    Thank you. GL.
