Yeah, I'm not following either. What consequence does it have for Israel to anger American Jewry on this issue?

It is common for Israeli politicians to go jail for corruption.

Israel bans the American Friends Service Committee for its support for the BDS movement. The AFSC is a Quaker organization that has had a presence in Israel doing peaceful activism and humanitarian work since 1948.

I mean, I can't even really comment on anything going on over there (or here) because it's such a joke at this point... Bibi needs to go, and Trump needs to go, and Kushner needs to go.

This is a relatively absurd proposal from any US administration, especially given the embassy move, without any sort of good faith negotiations underlining it. And, to be clear, it'd never happen anyways but it's just especially absurd to just start with this as the negotiating point after moving the embassy to Jerusalem...

There's always going to be another Netanyahu or Trump to take their place. What needs to happen is that both countries need to be thoroughly de-Nazified.

The World War 1/Lawrence of Arabia thing is a very sad story which lies at the foundation of the ****hole which is the modern Middle East. The British and French promised everything to everyone, then double-crossed everyone. In this case I actually think the French are more to blame. The British would have been happy to make Abdullah king of Syria, just as they made Feisal king of Iraq and Ibn Saud king of Arabia, provided they kept ultimate control. They were after all very experienced at indirect rule. The French were determined to annex Syria and Lebanon directly, and only reluctantly accepted the League of Nations Mandate system. It was the French who kicked Abdullah out of Damascus, creating an angry Arab nationalism which has been with us ever since. Even in 1945 they tried to re-establish themselves in Syria, nearly starting another war.

What are the odds of him trying to blame this on Soros?

    "Globalists"

But are you asking about Trump or Bibi? 'cause Trump and Bibi both think this is what you're supposed to do, but Bibi can't read the room -- you can apparently enact hugely racist policies, but being negatively-stereotypically Jewish (y'know "from the movies") is poor reading of the room in Israel... Trump just assumes he can do whatever he wants.

This is an article from December, but I just saw it now, so...

Musta'ribeen, Israel's agents who pose as Palestinians
I know that occupations are not police matters, but in law enforcement terms, wouldn't this be entrapment? And to capture who? People who protest? At worst, people who throw stones? [face_plain]

And they wonder why Hamas fires rockets into Israel.

I mean, really? Mr. Netanyahu, I believe in Israel, but not you. Your actions are fracturing American support for Israel writ large, not an outcome you should be pining for.

Donald Trump won't always be President, and the acceptance of pro-Palestinian sympathies amongst mainstream politicians--and particularly amongst American Jews, most of whom back the Democrats--is gaining more widespread support.
