    I'm probably part of the minority that likes that series/storyline. :)

    I recently finished Bloodline and I guess I can't get enough of Leia or the way Claudia Gray writes her, so I just started this:

    The latest Expanse was good. Everything was flipped up side down and those in charge got a taste of their own medicine via someone far worse.

    Moving on the The Revenger by Alastair Reynolds. I got this after Isaac Arthur referred to it in a video. And I'll be darned he gave me a "like" when i told him so. This is only my second Reynolds book, the first being Pushing Ice.

    The first book is quite good, despite the bad things that happen. Allston did better here than with LOTJ.

    About to start A Fantastic Confluence by Dan Lord.

    @Jedi Knight Fett

    Let me know what you think of it! I just finished Blood Meridian by him, and it was very strange. I’m thinking about reading The Road as well.

    The Road is odd because I'm inclined to call it "overrated" since I prefer some of McCarthy's other books (nothing in it sticks with me the way The Border Trilogy, No Country for Old Men, or Blood Meridian do) but it definitely deserved the goddamn Pulitzer, so that's completely the wrong word for it.

    I felt like my mind had been violated after reading Blood Meridian.

    I was expecting a simple, cheery western shoot-out...

    I think that's at least part of the magic of it. "Oh, you were expecting Louis L'Amour? **** YOU."

    The Captain's Nephew by Philip Allen. Yet another book about a naval officer of England in the Napoleonic wars. The author is obviously a fan of Patrick O'Brien, but without the mastery of language that makes the Aubrey/Maturin books so engrossing. It's not a bad book, but there are many better ones in the genre.

    Did you see Russell Crowe's tweet hunting that a M&C sequel may be in the works? [face_praying]
