All I'm saying is that, if you believe in God ans Jesus Christ, that makes you a Christian, whether you choose to call yourself that or not. If Ezra keeps adhering to the Jedi Code, then he's a Jedi. If he does not, well, that's another issue entirely of course.

    Seriously!

If you renounce being a Jedi, like Ahsoka Tano or Thracia Cho Leem, then you aren't a Jedi. It won't stop them from adhering to the Jedi tenets but they say they aren't Jedi. In response, there are people who believe in God and/or Jesus Christ but don't identify as Christian.

Yes, seriously. If it 's a bird with short legs, webbed feet, and a broad blunt bill that goes "quack! quack!", then it's a ducK. It can call itself a dog all he likes, it's still a duck.

Well you're wrong. To be a Jedi you need to be a Jedi, using the force and lightside doesn't make you a Jedi, you need to be initiated.

The analogies to rabbits and ducks don't work. Rabbits and ducks are born rabbits and ducks, and can't stop being rabbits and ducks. Jedi are born Force-sensitive - they are not born Jedi. To be Jedi they have to become part of the Jedi Order, uphold its principles, etc. And they can leave the order and stop being Jedi - recall in AOTC that Mace Windu speaks of Dooku in the past tense. "You know, m'lady, that Count Dooku was once a Jedi. He couldn't assassinate anyone. It's not in his character."

I have to disagree. The jedi are an organization - using the force and a lightsaber doesn't make a jedi anymore than knowing how to use a sword and being a Christian makes you a Knight Templar. Or even a knight for that matter - you have to be knighted to be a knight, even if you have the skills and follow the code of chivalry.

But the thing is this: it's not just using a lightsaber and the Force, it's adhering to a code. It's precisely more than just a membership card, it's what you do and how you do it. For all intent and purposes, a light side user who behaves in a way that follows the values of the Jedi Code is a Jedi, whether he likes it or not. Yes, there's a difference, but a tenuous one, especially from an OOU, narrative point of view.

I will be honest. I think the only person who will die this season will be Kanan.

All of this has just been building to Little Red Riding Hood.

Wolf: Aren't you going to say "My, what big eyes you have"?

Kanan: I'm blind, dude. Are you really going for a sight gag? Know your audience.

Wolf: I had a whole bit planned out. I put on this dress and everything. I shaved my legs. Do you know how long it takes to shave your legs when you have this much hair? Of course you don't. Now I'm just going to eat you and I'm not even going to enjoy it.

I think Kallus or Zeb have a chance to die as well, although both have been really underserved this season. Wish they had an episode together pre-return to Lothal.

Just like at Batonn, Thrawn needs Pryce around to blame when it all goes wrong.

Thrawn: I didn't slaughter civilians! That was all Arhinda Pryce!

Thrawn needs to preserve his heroic martyr persona, remember?

    And if you remember...
...it really was all Pryce at Batonn. She was the one detonating the explosives without any order from anyone just so that no-one would be able to detect her murdering the agent she was with.

As he said himself, Thrawn would not want to waste the Empire's resources - so he is not exactly Mr Altruistic.

Now, as Governor, Pryce should not be leading anything of course, but Rebels is taking a few shortcuts in story telling. And I for one cannot wait for her to get her come-upance!

What makes you say that? Arindha Pryce has repeatedly demonstrated a propensity for leading troops from the front. Her leading an attack in person is completely believable within the confines of Rebels.

I'm of the opinion now that all books portraying Thrawn as heroic etc are in-universe "documentaries" written by Thrawn himself. ;)
