Ugh, why is there a Qui-gon Jinn and Darth Maul figure? I hate when they waste lineup spots with figures that aren’t in the movie.

But Lando is wearing a scarf? I dig it

 

How do we know Qui-gon and Maul aren't in this movie?

 

That samurai stormtrooper is reportedly the main villain.

the guys with the mask, cape, stick and kinda tribal look next to Lando? He looks very cool but not very imperial. Are we sure -if that's indeed the main villain- that he's not a smuggler/bounty hunter or something? He has that futuristic tribal look that i dig a lot but not very imperial-like IMO...we'll see.

 

Force Link 2.0?!! That better not mean the current Force Link won't work with these new toys or future toys....like Episode IX toys. That really would be a rip off!

 

He has the same Japanese look as the Kessel Guard and he's the one fighting Beckett atop the train (which I suspect is on Kessel).

 

Can't say I'm excited for this line with TLJ not having enough coverage. I frankly think its just too much, too soon. I wish they'd ease up on the movies and plan the toy line better. They flood the market with a couple waves of action figures and then move on to the next, its getting too repetitive and boring.

 

Well, we have 18 months between Solo and IX, so Hasbro will have some time to get a few waves out to fill in some of the missing characters from the last couple of films.

 

And the face printing tech will be fully deployed by then. This is what may be delaying their production lines.

They don't want to release all characters with old tech.

 

Is his mask made out of bone?

 

I think so but it's shaped alot like an Imperial Hovertank pilot helmet. I do know that someone asked the costume designer if the writing was aurebesh and he said it wasn't.

 

so bad ass! strange because its black here but the toy of him is white? odd....

No, it's the same guy. The things that are making them seem different are:

The toy has his gauntlet 'wings / fans' facing towards the camera, and the exterior of these is white. The interior seems to be darker. Hence why the gauntlets in the trailer still seem darker.

The toy has it's dark fur cape and hair swept back, whilst in the still these are draped further forward across the shoulders.

Weathering. The movie costume is well weathered. Hasbro's version, not so much. It's a cost issue, as they tend to skimp on paint applications wherever they can.
