C'mon. You know how Star Wars works. If a hat isn't given a freakin' sweet backstory, then Wookieepedia doesn't get to eat that month.

It really does feel like a sizable portion of the fandom are more in love with Wookiepedia than they are Star Wars itself.

Maybe DJs hat is reversible, one side says DJ, turn it inside out and it says don’t join.

Alas! I've been looking for weeks and all I keep finding is this one:

...part of the reason I loved this part so much was that ALL the Reddit rumors before TLJ claimed DJ was going to die in some way, usually at the hands of Phasma. This ending was SO much better. Not everyone needs death to end their story plot.

Alas, that seems to be the way of it for most characters in SW.

Hrm. Well I guess also real life. Um. Uh. Well this subject just got deep.

You are correct! I don't know why I thought it was "DJ" all this time. I don't remember seeing his hat very well -- but looking online, even in the concept art they apparently had the full term engraved in early versions of the character.

Also I hope DJ is in 9.

I hope Lando drags him into the story by his ear.

I would kind of like if we never see DJ again, not that I dislike the character but he makes his point and his exit is perfect, it's something of a mic drop.

But I wouldn't be opposed to Lando having to bring him back in. Heck, I wish they had gone with Lando involved on the Casino Planet was an idea they were kicking around (at least a freakin holo of Lando Slot Machines or whatever!). But I believe Johnson said they had to make DJ be the one who teams up / betrays them cuz seeing Lando do it again would be weird (and Lando did it for mostly altruistic reasons, DJ was just saving his own skin and making a point).

But, yeah, Lando somehow please, we needs it. Maybe Lando being in Solo bodes well for seeing the character again. ("Hey! Memba Lando? Well you get to see him twice!")

We are getting two movies in 6 months that have Chewie and the Falcon in it, so that is actually really awesome.

. That just has dumbPANTS clickbaity trouble-stirring nonsense all over it.

...I mean, not that that's unusual for internet 'reviewers', but still.

DJ is obviously Snoke's secret apprentice.

    DJ = Dark Jedi

This is what got me about all the people complaining that Ahsoka's story arc wasn't finished in TCW because she either wasn't shown getting killed by Vader or shown escaping Order 66 (which of course would then only be fuel for those fans to complain that her story arc wasn't finished because she wasn't shown being killed during the Jedi purge). She started the show as an idealistic uppity padawan and ended it as a world-weary (young) adult whose rite of passage is her choosing to leave the Jedi. That's about as clear-cut a story arc as you can expect (and pretty much the only character in that show to get an actual story arc, too).

Ventress? Started as a malevolent, ambitious Confederate darksider and would-be Sith - ended as a world-weary bounty hunter who'd developed some scruples.

I cannot help but this of the line from EE about Agate's death: "“When they say to one another, 'May the Force be with you,' it is precisely this that they mean: It is a wish that when the time comes to leap into the void and to make a decision based on instinct and trust, you are rewarded for that act and not punished. The hope is that if you meet the galaxy halfway, it meets you in the middle and carries you the rest of the distance.”

Rest in peace Admiral and may the force be with you, always

Went for 7th viewing on Monday, y'know Luke still has really great hair even for an Ach-To island hermit in his 60s. And it gets better with his Force Projection.

    Luke is in his fifties.

    Obi-Wan has taught him well.

I do kind of like that hermit Luke's channeling both Obi-Wan(beard) and Anakin(hair).

Of note, Ben also has great hair. And obviously Leia. Maybe it's not magic Skywalker blood that the midichorlians made but they were focusing on creating a lineage with great hair who also happen to be extremely powerful Force users as an unexpected side effect. If it was Plageuis and Sidious who created Anakin, maybe they were just Force-sourcing a cure for baldness.
