Apparently a look into the cargo hold from the port side of the Falcon.

I guess it'll eventually look like this (by the time of ANH):

I'll be curious whether we'll see the seating area, too (cannibalized from an escape pod...).

Lando was wondering what Solo had done to this ship in ESB, I guess once he saw the interiors he decided to sign his deal with Vader... [face_skull]

I am in love with the new speeder, with the new bike and with the different interior and controls of the MF.

Either Han was a heavy smoker or Wookie farts have a yellowing effect.

Probably best not to take a blacklight to the interior of the Falcon in the OT now.

Yeah. I said this in the other thread but the Falcon's cleanliness definitely reinvents Han as someone who probably ought to shower more often and has his children removed from the home by Protective Services after multiple failed interventions.

I never considered that the Falcon might smell like a litter pan in the OT. Thanks, SOLO trailer.

The Falcon could use some Retr0bright to remove the yellowing from the plastics.

    Bromine sucks.

Perhaps the Corellian ship builders used a similar plastic on the interior that Kenner used on stormtroopers back in the 70s and 80s.

my guess is something unexciting like a TIE with more extensive life support or maybe a jammer. It would make sense within that celestial body. It looks legends-ish which is neat.

I think Breznican said in his trailer rundown that’s it’s just a TIE equipped with a stronger cannon or something like that. I’m assuming that’s accurate info and not just a guess on his part since he’s going to be running exclusives all week.

Yes. The red viewport is what qualifies the ship as The Color Out of Space.

I guess there aren't any better Falcon exterior pictures available except the above "upside-down" one, yet?

That's the coolest version of a futuristic train I've ever seen. The more I see the more I like the worldbuildung of this new anthology film.

The front nose probably was removed by Han ("I've made some modifications") or it was lost. Either explanation would satisfy me.

They showed a YT-1300 in ROTS and it looked pretty much just like the Falcon. So does that mean that they modified that one just like Han did, or did Han just happen to modify it to look just like that one? I'm all for it looking slightly different, but it's been pretty well established about how they look.

I bet that Pablo Hidalgo is coming up with some canon explanation about the YT-1300 in RotS.

Yeah. It was confirmed by George Lucas himself that that YT-1300 is the Falcon. It's also already canon that the ship is around 60 years old by ANH. Yet it has been mentioned that the Falcon is "brand new" in SOLO.

I suggest that maybe it is new in that it had recently had a complete refit and renamed the Millennium Falcon.
This way it fits that "the ship that will become known as the Falcon" can be in ROTS looking as it does as a 40 odd year old ship, then look brand new in SOLO as 50 year old ship, and then in ANH as a 60 year old ship look much like it did 20 years earlier. Han seriously flogs her! 40 years worth of wear and tear recreated in just 10 years.

I thought that middle notch in the Falcon was part of its cargo system.
    Things can be attached there.
That will be like a real life cargo ship container.

It's possible it'll be a moment in the film where it gets jetissoned.

Thinking there may be some clue to its contents, EW translated the Aurebesh writing below them. No luck. It spells: “Hitch Joint.”

A Hitch Joint which is uncoupled already. They steal the whole cargo unit from the train.

I can totally see him removing it himself as well, but my personal bet is that it's an extra cargo hold that can be detached from the ship, and that maybe they'll fill it with explosives at some point and then detach it.
