Solo [Official Info] Phoebe Waller-Bridge (L3-37) in Solo

According to LEGO leaks, she plays a droid called DD-BD (DeeDee).

I read Quay Tolsite is being played by Thandie Newton.

 

That seems somewhat likely as DD-BD is probably there for the giggles. However, if they are only going by the Lego box art then I'll put this in the unconfirmed box at this point.

 

I'm beginning to wonder whether the info we have so far is correct? There's a droid in the movie that turns up in the teaser and with Qi'ra in an official photo. It seems more likely that this is Waller-Bridge's character as it's a lot more 'human' than DD-BD. Unless that droid is DD-BD and it either gets it's chip transplanted or Lego are terrible at realising it as a minifig.

okay so this thread is coming up to a year old so maybe it's time to show this performer some respect and fix the spelling of her name in the thread title?

Nah that's mid 2000's still. Thought it was strange for her to be named that. I hope we get some Mnt. Dew and Doritos with her on them. It'd be fitting.

I like how she looks like a scrapyard build but also partly officially manufactured

Like she was a new model line at one point but they stopped customer support so when she needed repairs they were jerry-rigged

 

I love the aspect of her being self modified. Very cool.

 

Can't wait for the Empire special edition with L3-37 replacing Lobot!

 

L3-37 starts attaching human body parts and gradually becomes Lobot over the course of the film.
They've played down the body horror element of the film so far, but kids are going to come out traumatized.

 

That would be hilarious and horrible!

I was wondering if late in the Solo film we get to meet Lobot before he's lobotomised?

 

I think they should stop emphasizing how strong and independent their female characters are. Just show it and let them speak for themselves. Actually it makes these females look weaker because otherwise you would not have to point it out so often. It reminds me of this scene in a way:

 

So, the article implies that her head isn't really attached but just hovers over her shoulders? I hadn't picked up on that, but it's pretty cool.
