We really need a name for GIANT TENTACLED CTHULHU SPACE MONSTER other than GIANT TENTACLED CTHULHU SPACE MONSTER. Although to be fair, GIANT TENTACLED CTHULHU SPACE MONSTER does have a nice ring to it.

 

I hope it's never given an official name so that we can just keep calling it Chuthlu

 

I propose Levianoga. A type of dianoga, but much bigger.

EW's report about the villains is up but doesn't shed any light on Bonehead and the Pirates.

 

That stinks, I was looking forward to getting at least a little hint about them.

I wonder if the in magazine article might be different? I'll find out this afternoon when I grab it after work.

Leaks point to the name Moloch if I’m not mistaken

 

Is it just me or does he look like a masked brute Chieftain?
The Crown like things protruding from the back of his head, silver/grayish shining armor, a hammer like weapon in his hand, very interesting.

 

With the mask, I wonder if the large black spot with the smaller white spot is a variant (or original) design of the Black Sun symbol..... the mask could be an artifact from the beginning of the crime organization. If it is an artifact, and Dryden Vos is a collector of things, it could be him, perhaps.
Also, the blades/fins remind me of Chappie:

Moloch and he's played by stuntman Harley Durst, I wouldn't get too excited by them, they seem like they're there for Han's target practice (red shirts).

 

Moloch is the other racer on Corellia is he not?

The Lego sets, his partner in crime is Rebolt.

 

It would seem the main villain is Dryden Vos, Moloch and Rebolt probably come to a sticky end, the cast offs from Mad Max likewise at the hands of Han.

We'll have to see who Vos employs, the rumour of Boba seems more hopeful than fact, as it doesn't look like he's someone who gets his hands dirty.

 

Just looking again at the concept art and especially at the 'NEST BUMPER CAR #4'. We know that bumper car is an old LFL term for speeders and looking at that one it's a lot bigger than normal speeder bikes and has more control surfaces. I would guess that it is one of those that the Bonehead Pirates use in the Train Heist scene. We see at least four in the trailer so the numbering fits and obviously these fly a lot higher than normal speeder bikes. NEST would refer to Bonehead's gang somehow, perhaps it's a derivative of 'HIVE of scum and villainy'?

 

Oh, thank goodness somebody else thinks so. I wasn't sure if I was overthinking it. Well, my imaginary money is on Dryden pulling a Walter Donovan.





Maybe its out of context, but if there's a showdown on that beach, ofc Han will shoot first, and then unmask "Moloch." I don't want Moloch to be random.

 

Then again, I have been watching a fair amount of Scooby-Doo lately, so I'm suspicious of everyone. They could be different people. Or not.

 

Moloch is this movie's Sebulba.

 

Maybe Jabba sends Boba after Vos and he takes advantage of the ruckus Han & co cause?
