PT RYL: PT Social Thread - The First Annual RYL Awards (name pending)(TM) Day 5!!

I think we've talked about Casey's before. The great thing about them is that you can be in the middle of a cornfield miles from anywhere and voilà! gas, drinks, and hot pizza. Casey's can be a lifesaver.

 

Is Taco Bell open at midnight ?...

I know that feel. The Olympics are both inspiring and depressing for me, every time. 17 year olds are getting medals. I turned 24 last month and I feel like I have nothing to show for it.

Also we had Starbucks on campus. It was fine but it was always, always PACKED. Like, lines nearly to the door.

We had a Burger King too, but I digress...

Lol cubman, I didn't mean to imply they're only found in the country. Though often in the country they're the only one you find.

 

We have Casey's in Arkansas. One time I had to pay for gas in cash late at night and the counter guy let me take home a bunch of the morning's doughnuts free.

But I've never tried the pizza.

 

When in doubt about the fast food chains, remember, McDonald's has the best breakfast sandwiches and fries.

And Culver's, which you don't have in England unfortunately, seems to have the most diverse menu. Including Walleye, Cod, Pulled Pork, Chicken Breast, and many types of burgers. Salads even. And a huge dessert menu. Last but not least, they have cheese curds!

ditto that...I feel like having fluency in more than one language is like a fabulous super-power that I greatly covet but will likely never attain...*sigh*

 

I'm a little confused. You were rewarded for paying cash? Was the credit card line down or something?

 

No, actually I had to pay in cash because I was given someone else's debit card to use but I couldn't remember their PIN, so I briefly panicked but I forgot I had cash. The doughnuts were hours old and were apparently gonna be thrown out at close anyway so the guy was like... hey, while you're here...

 

You lead a charmed life.

 

I've seen some open until 2 or 3 am while driving home late on the interstate. Depends on the area I reckon. There used to be a 24 hours McDonald's around here but they might close between 2-5 am now.
Who knows right? I've been in some towns where everything is closed by 10 pm. Pretty freaky.

I've learned to not buy the double at Culver's. Way too messy.

Also believe it or not, I was in Florida in August and found a Culver's. My mind was blown.
