Movies where the trailer is better than the movie itself?

    Trailers get people interested about an upcoming movie but sometimes when you watch the full movie itself... You don't get that same feeling. My picks?

    Iron Man 3
    Sucker Punch
    Godzilla (2014)

    Batman v Superman. I do think the second half of the film is actually pretty good. Just a shame you have to sit through a lot of boring/random scenes in the first half to get to it.

    Threads where the thread title is better than thread itself? JCC Nights? That was a very erotic thread title.

    Threads that were better than their title? The antibiotic one that turned into meat is murder. Derailment is probably a good thing for a thread with a weak title.

    I make parody threads inside other threads now.

    Nailed it.

    I don't believe anyone involved in the production of a film is involved with making a trailer, but I'm sure there are exceptions. A trailer's sole purpose is to get people in seats so the best editors in the business put butts in seats for the crappiest of movies. And unfortunately, since so many movies get made a year, the odds of most of them being crap is very high.

    the children's movies that dp4m and darth_invidious like

    also man of the year. how in the holy **** do you make a movie with robin williams, christopher walken, lewis black, laura linney, and most importantly, jeff goldblum, and not only not destroy all life on earth with the radiation of its awesomeness, but make a ****ing unwatchable, lame ass film. google doesn't even call it a comedy - it's a "drama/thriller." four of the greatest comedic actors of all time, and you can't even make one or two funnies? i will go to the grave with these questions. i don't even remember the trailer. but it was surely better than the movie.

    I remember when the SS Comic Con teaser came out. That's really what got everyone psyched out for the movie. The fans wanted it to be dark.


    But then they released the "Ballroom Blitz" trailer and it all went up in smoke. Batman Forever 2.0
