Double posting has become an issue again. Also, this reply box doesn't clear after you refresh a page.

Yes . . . it used to. Before I tried to update it. Now it doesn't show up no matter what I do. I tried uploading my old avatar image again, just in case there was a problem with the new file, but it won't accept that either.

 

Sorry, server ran out of space and I wasn't around to fix it. All better now.

I mean the data disk that houses MySQL, Xenforo and Elasticsearch filled up (that's over 150gb for those who care how big this board is). I just added another 50gb and left 50gb free to allocate anywhere else (like the root partition etc). Should be good for a while.

By the way, the 'contact us' form for logged out people gave me a dodgy verification question pertaining to future events that are now in the past. Bit confusing.

 

And I was one of two regular users who managed to remain logged in all along and actually read normally. I guess I'm privileged for some reason.

 

I'm still getting hangs when I post. Something is still borked.

ETA: This post didn't hang at all though.

FETA: And editing was super quick and single click, too.

 

@Grahame Thanks Just a FYI, I'm still getting a bit of a lag, the page hanging and saying it hasn't posted and then the thread appearing as unread on my watched list etc.

EDIT: For instance it just happened with this post. Appeared almost instantly as unread on my watched list, but here on the thread it was still saying "I'm processing things".

 

What happens is I hit the Post Reply and it sits there and loads. If I open the forum to check sure enough it has posted but the actual page I used to post is still loading.

 

This is what I am now doing in order not to accidentally double post. Post with one window, then refresh a second window to see if the thing has posted.

I guess I was the other regular, because I was logged in the whole time too. Just couldn't post after a certain point last night.

 

Only a few hours ago the only people that appeared on the forum were Ewok Poet and Master_Rebado

 

Hm. Interesting, cause I was logged in the whole time...

 

That's us, the VIPs, all right.

 

The forum was all kinds of messed up so perhaps not all the logged in people showed up.
