I mean I know the timeline in the front of the canon books has been unhelpful at times but now...? That’s even more unhelpful.

EDIT: I’m gonna have to reread Phasma.

Well if we listen to the ages in a novel, Bloodline moves from 28 ABY to 30 ABY. Which helps even less. Ransolm is born 2 BBY, but apparently 32 in Bloodline...

Bloodline can take place at the fall of 28 ABY to 29 ABY

2 BBY could refer to 2 years before the battle of yavin and not 2 years before the year of the battle

The Battle of Yavin happened on the 7th day of the 3rd month of the year 0. The 8th day through the end is 0 ABY, everything before in that year is 0 BBY. 2 BBY encompasses the whole of the year, before and after 3:7, two years prior to year 0.

I mean, the reference just for that book

The rest of the timeline remains intact

Two years before the Battle of Yavin would be in 2 BBY.

I’m gonna have to hunt something official. Because if I’m obligated to obey that Siv’s age is accurate but Ransolm’s is not...?

I still don’t know how to retcon Ransolm’s age

Siv should still be taken in consideration

It should, indeed. Maybe I should speak to Gold as to what they did about Ransolm.

Maybe the Noghri method of counting years? Leia learned their counting was a little different, even before the Clone Wars were revealed to be a lot closer to the OT than the Thrawn Trilogy implied.

Different year durations for other planets could work

Would he still be 32 born in 28 BBY in 28 ABY then? He was off Riosa for quite a time.

Same applies to Siv - what of Parnassos years?

I don’t remember where but wasn’t it said that people used to refer the year with the standard coruscant calendar?

I’m definitely gonna have to reread.

I’m supposed to be rereading the Solo/Lando trilogies to get ready for Solo!

The Kessel Run could explained if we assume Han did it the second time because that guy from the Mos Eisley cantina broke his record on the tales books

    Curious.

Siv is described as a teen fifteen years before the framing story.

She is sixteen twelve years before the framing story.

That makes her thirteen, fifteen years before the framing story.

However, both Keldo and Phasma are described as children in comparison to Siv, who is a teen. That makes her older than Phasma and Keldo. This is from Keldo’s perspective, who I believe is the older of the siblings.

So, Armitage being ‘[a]bout the same age as Siv and Phasma’ is an odd way to say it. But that scene is from Siv’s perspective.

It definitely undermines the setting being in 28 ABY. Hm.

No spoilers for Rebels without spoiler tags! Casual reminder. Ditto TLJ novel spoilers.

This thread is the kinda place where anything can turn up, and does(!)

    Rebels finale spoilers:
Well, until they do anything with Thrawn and Ezra being taken somewhere in hyperspace, in my mind it wasn't anywhere out of the way, because Thrawn has to come back to appear in Dark Forces: Soldier for the Empire.

And Rukh didn't die and managed to jump out of the dome before it exploded.

A super nitpicky suggestion for Rukh - would it be simpler for the purposes of the One Canon to consider the Rukh in Rebels a different character from the one in Legends? The one in Rebels doesn't look like the one in Legends after all, like in the TTT comic adaptation for example:

Just say that Thrawn had two noghri bodyguards that had the same name. Maybe Rukh is a very common name among male noghri :p

We never knew Rukh's clan name, so who's to say they're not from different clans?
