If it actually is just Jaxxon and T&B from Solo as the only EU characters being brought back, I'll be kind of disappointed.

Especially since T&B aren't even technically from the EU.

 

Leland said "characters" plural, and wasn't including T&B in that, so it'll be more than just Jaxxon. I wouldn't go expecting Revan, of course.

And T&B were EU, just not the canon part of it.

The Solo movie would be a great place to reintroduce comics characters like Bey and Rik Duel.

 

I've been holding back from posting in this thread because I knew I would end up just rattling off my favorite characters like Trachta. bring back my rivethead brawny boy Punchy McMoff instead of actually discussing who is likely to be brought back and for what good reason. BUT THIS:

I also thought of Kihotay right after reading the news about Jaxxon! Ooh, and Valance. See, there I go...

 

K'kruhk shows up in a post credit scene in 9, asking if he missed anything and telling Rey he wants to join the Jedi. Conveniently after all the bad stuff passed, just like in Legends how K'kruhk showed up after the Vong etc.

I'm hoping for a mention of Garm Bel Iblis, at least in the supplemental material. A mention to Fel as a rival pilot could also work...

Not for Solo, but I'm still praying for Tycho Celchu to show up somewhere. And Karrde. (If Zahn continues to write books, that's probably not too unlikely...)

 

Since we're not going to see Gallandro in Solo I would be 100% down to see Valance as one of the baddies instead. Highly unlikely, but a guy can dream.

 

Maybe not quite what this thread is looking for, but apparently this trio of Sith Lords is going to be in that Galaxy of Heroes mobile game.

Only thing more surprising than that announcement was that they came before the likes of Darth Revan, Malak, or Bastila.

 

Darth Nihilius has been in the game for years (Pain in the butt in the first level of the new raid. Darth Sion has just been released.
Darth Traya is a Raid Boss.

 

Not Mara or Jaina as it would screw with continuity.

I’d hope for Exar Kun, Ulic Qel Droma, Zannah.

 

I wasn't implying who I thought should be in Canon (personally I vote none, and just continue Legends as an alternate universe) merely querying who is actually the most popular non-film (and non-TV) character.

 

Bearing in mind the inclusion of these characters in that game doesn't make them canon.

 

Isn't Galaxy of Heroes a canonical hologame within the canon Star Wars universe though? So who are the Sith triumvirate in canon then? Fictional characters from a fictional hologame/holofilm very loosely based on galactic history?

Or we could go the Darth Bane route, in that the existence of such Lords are canon, but literally any story about them (KOTOR 2 for the triumvirate, Jedi vs Sith and Bane trilogy for Bane) aren't canon.

Are the characters in the game based on "historical" characters or "historical" mixed with "fictional"?

 

It's just non-canon. It draws from both continuities, but isn't canon itself because it's just a sandbox game. If it were, we'd already have canon Wookieepedia pages for all of the Legends characters. Wookieepedia loves being able to make canon articles at the slightest hint something might have crossed over from Legends, but Galaxy of Heroes has remained firmly untouched.

Rebels just opened up a nice can of EU worms.
-we have a human child post-Endor named Jacen in canon who is potentially force sensitive. Last name coincidentally begins with an S.
-Thrawn is alive and well in parts unknown, with a Jedi and a fleet of Star Destroyers plus a Captain Pelleaon (assuming they did not become space whale food)
