I'm thinking the answer to that will come in the next Dave Filoni Star Wars cartoon. I'm pretty sure they more or less revealed what it's going to be about in that bit at the end. Which is, a story taking place between episodes 6 and 7 involving the same crew more or less.

Also, we now have more evidence that one guy with a grizzly white beard at Endor in ROTJ is most likely Captain Rex! As well as another likely Kylo Ren victim (Ahsoka).

Thrawn crawls back without Ezra. In a rage, Palpatine demotes Thrawn to captain, and he climbs back to GA the Legends way. It all fits.

The last time we see him before he is a GA is 1 BBY, the same year as season 4

its a sure good thing they didn't kill him off because i can't see how we chould fix that if he did aslo back from before with vos i mean in the new canon he was never married so how are we going to explan way his wife or son do not appear when he appears in the future

In 1 BBY Thrawn is a Captain under Jerec in Dark Forces Soldier of the Empire. He is Captain in Galaxy of Fear in 0 BBY. He becomes a GA in Legends in 3 ABY in TIE Fighter.

 

New Essential Guide to Characters implies he was secretly promoted to Grand Admiral. He was the secret 13th GA before he was officially promoted to replace Zaarin.

So, the Captain ranks, Vice Admirals whatever may not mean much.

 

How long before we get a Multi verse event in which Canon Thrawn, using Ezra, somehow diverges the time lines and creates the Legends verse

 

I have Thrawn checked out from the library, so I'm looking forward to reading through it to see the comparison...

 

I attribute that to J.J. Abrams and the first of the nuTrek films: Nero's time travel and alteration of that history had profound effects across space and not just for Star Trek.

 

How do we reconcile Wedge Antilles' Rebels origin story with his Legends one?

Rebels Wedge is actually Col Takbright.

 

One of the final Star Wars Tales showed it, IIRC.

All I know is his past in legends doesn't line up with his canon past. Any thoughts?

 

Maybe Wedge is already a part of the Corellian Resistance (Bel Iblis's group) and he's acting undercover in Rebels?

 

The Tales flashback can be placed before he goes to the academy.

He was always there as a spy

A super nitpicky suggestion for Rukh - would it be simpler for the purposes of the One Canon to consider the Rukh in Rebels a different character from the one in Legends? The one in Rebels doesn't look like the one in Legends after all, like in the TTT comic adaptation for example:

That is Rukh from the Heir to the Empire comic which was highly stylized and not at all close to what Zahn originally envisioned for the Noghri.

Rukh in canon is actually closer to what a Legends Noghri looked like:


Small and wiley, not big and muscular. Rukh himself, changes appearance three times in The Thrawn Trilogy comics.

The Last Command version is probably the best rendition of a Noghri in my opinion.
