I'll get us back on topic with am observation from the Rebels Finale.

I haven't watched it again, but I recall a scene where Thrawn implies he know that Palpatine is really a Sith Lord. He already knew what Vader was, now that he knows Palpatine is a Force-Wielder as well, will he make the jump to the conclusion that Palpatine and Dooku masterminded the Clone Wars and that the Empire is built on lies?

Thrawn knew in Legends too. By Heir he deduced Palpatine was Darth Sidious who told him to destroy Outbound Flight.

As for an Empire built on lies, canon Thrawn says it best: who deserves what is irrelevant, what matters is who has the power.

    Tigris is a squib!

I've always wanted to say that.

Also in the same book he's in Jacen and Jaina use the Force to move air molecules and create light and that's basically the same as Lumos right?

It's official The Crystal Star is an HP book

Possibly. But I don't think it's concerning to him, he's stated in both canon and Legends that his political ideology is closer to the Empire's than it is the Rebels/Republic. Unlike Sheev, he doesn't love democracy.

maybe, maybe not. Thrawn states that the Emperor has power and that he doesn't have the moral obligations that prevent him from using that power to its maximum effectiveness, like the jedi. That doesn't necessarily mean that Thrawn knows that The Emperor can also use the force, but it's not a huge leap to assume so. Thrawn could be talking about Vader or the Inquisitorious as an extension of Palpatine's own power.

Slight correction: unlike Sheev, Thrawn doesn't pretend to love democracy. ;)

I'm in that weird space of wanting to see Zahn create newer characters to play with and continue to build up like he did with Eli (and Pryce to some extent).... but I'm also really keen to see him use the older Legends characters.

So if Thrawn is no longer with the Empire, who commands the Eclipse in the Unknown Regions ?[face_thinking]

Same. I’m really hoping Pellaeon shows up in this one, and I really really really want to see Karrde again.

I’m also wondering, if there are flashbacks to The Clone Wars period of time, if he would use Ahsoka.

I started to say something about we've had Zahn write Ahsoka before, in No Prisoners, but then I remembered that was Karen Traviss and I only thought it was Zahn because Pellaeon was one of the major POV characters. Oh well. [face_dunno]

Grand Admiral Delak Krennel, of course. The last and most cunning of the Grand Admirals.

This is Thrawn: Alliances; but don't worry, Eli will be back in the sequel, Thrawn: Friends, a romantic comedy starring Thrawn and Eli's adventures living together again on Coruscant. I hear most of it involves an apartment.

Zahn could probably get away with writing a Thrawn-less Eli Vanto novel. I'd imagine Filoni's probably got Thrawn in a box somewhere for a while so he's possibly off the board, but it'd be a good opportunity to see Tim do stuff in the canon setting that isn't just Thrawn-related.

Maybe Solo'll inspire him to do something crime related again, possibly with Talon Karrde and the gang.

It would be interesting to read in the new book how Thrawn got Rukh (a present from Vader?).

Can this book hurry up and come out? Feels like forever since we’ve had a Star Wars novel. Phasma was the last one that comes to memory and that was only okay-ish.
