Is anyone else getting some Fallout power armor vibes from that outfit (especially the helmet), or is it just me?

 

Just saying.

 

I would buy Lando as a baby smuggler more if he's a decorated veteran.

 

My first impression was they updated the Imperial Army Troopers of The Force Unleashed game, by adding more armor(mainly Scariff Shoretrooper gear) and a gas mask and goggles resembling a Stormtrooper.

• A canonical pronunciation of Chewbacca's name in Shyriwook
• At the thirty-second mark, a Gonk droid, plus what looks like one of the robots from The Black Hole
• The money getting pushed across the table has the Mandalorian symbol on them... did any old EU source ever talk about Mandalorian currency?

 

That moment when Han shows his cards to Chewbacca and then his reaction!

 

We can't be sure that's a coin. There's a lot of different stuff in that pile.

Don't get too excited. From the way this is edited - from the way all trailers and commercials are edited - we can't know for sure that what we're hearing here as a response is, in the film, his actual response to the question. That said, it sure does sound like it.

 

Some scans from Empire’s SOLO article are surfacing if you know where to look. Not sure if posting them here is allowed.

 

Some have been posted on the Empire site, such as Dryden Vos (with an... interesting collector's item on display), and Alden.

 

The new trailer, and photos like the above, are giving me hope for Alden E's character. There's more of a "Young Indy" vibe. He's trying to play tough but clearly isn't yet.

There's been some speculation that the new trailer has a Firespray in it. At 0:39 on the video above you can see the object in question fly past the Falcon. Maybe just debris, but...

actually is a Mandalorian himself? Bettany certainly has the looks of a TCW Mandalorian.

It's been high time someone open that can of worms all the way. SW always just starts halfway and then is like "no let's not go the sentient robot slave route. Go read Asimov or see a Star Trek if you want that."

 

I read an article that upset me greatly about this movie. The article said that an acting coach had to be brought on set to help Alden Einreich and the great Lawrence Kasdan said the script was "unworkable". Here's the article.

That article is from last year and a lot of this has been addressed since. Alden Ehrenreich is a very well regarded actor in general and the idea that he somehow forgot how after working with Park Chan Wook and the Coen Brothers was always kind of absurd.

 

Well I still find it ominous that Kasdan called the script unworkable. Also unrelated, it may be the most expensive movie ever made of all time
