Yeah, I assume it is an anti-hotlinking feature, all 'wikia' pages do it. I just re-upload the image.

The rear looks like it was inspired by the Hammerhead from SWTOR

According to the cards that come with the 'Han Solo Card Game', it is called a 'Heavy TIE Fighter'. Though I'm sure the visual guide will have a more technical name.

Apparently, the skycrane that airlifts the train wagon is called "AT-hauler". Unless the name simply comes from the similarity in design with many walkers (or the ship is actually all terrain, which is unlikely for obvious reasons), transporting them may be its main role. I think it would make sense not to use a freighter as big and crew-intensive as a Gozanti cruiser to transport light venicles such as AT-ST/DT/DP walkers.

Maybe it's "arms" fold down and become legs to walk like a Transformer

Has anybody considered trying to reconstruct a Nebulon-C as it would have appeared in New Republic service? That is, with both sets of mirrored "wings", mirrored applique armor, and mirrored power spire casing?

What would happen if a Death Star super-laser targeted a star? Destroyed, nova'd, cracked, nothing?

Nothing. It’s a big ball of heat, the laser would hit it, go through, and dissipate.

What if the reaction of the kyber laser with the hydrogen/helium core caused the star to start fusing heavier elements? That might cause a supernova one to ten million years down the line.

Some people seem to think it is what drops that AT-DT in the trailer.

    AT-DT? That's what that new brick-shaped chicken-walker (bricken-walker?) is called?

Yeah. We still don't know what DT means.

    Dragon Transport obviously.

Once it gets close to its target it opens up and unleashes a dragon

I searched it on google, and the only image I could find was a screengrab from the trailer. It looked like it might have an open top, like an AT-RT, or more accurately like a WWII SPG.

    Whatever the plot required. ;-)

While I normally take the Star Wars Technical Commentaries with a grain of salt precisely because plot trumps math in Star Wars, without existing plot to guide us, it at least provides some useful guideposts:
A typical G2V class star like our sun has a mass of over a thousand times that of a Jovian planet like Yavin, so it's unlikely to be blown apart by the superlaser blast alone. Moreover, it probably wouldn't kickstart a supernova, for the simple plot reason that otherwise the Starkiller Base (in canon) or the Sun Crusher (in Legends) wouldn't be such a big deal. However, the immense energies a superlaser blast would impart to the star cannot have no impact at all. I'd expect to see a stellar flare (indeed, probably a superflare) and large coronal mass ejection at the impact site. It would be a catastrophic event in the star system, though obviously less so than a supernova would be.

My guess would be "Defense Turret" or "Deployable Turret". I don't want to be *that* guy, but I really hope there will be a good reason to deploy artillery walkers on Mimban instead of regular multi-role AT-STs. The amount of useless TIE variants in Legends bugged me a little bit.

Why would the AT-ST be an artillery walker?

As this is like 10 or 15 years or more before actual ATSTs started appearing, we can think of it like one of those slow, front-heavy artillery tanks of WWI like the St Chamond as opposed to the fast and maneuverable light tanks of the interwar period.

It also reminds me of the SB-920
    http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Super_Blaster_920_laser_cannon

Which may have been also based on the Flak 8.8.

    That's a good catch.

Trying to bring this back to Fleet, there were some cases in the Second World War where naval artillery was mounted on vehicles. Why not with the AT-DT?

In the Shattered Empire comics, we saw on Endor, what looked like ISD turrets, for a ground base.

Makes sense that some weapons be universalised - designed to be "plugged in" to various locations - ships, ground bases, vehicles, etc.

I like the description of ship-guns being carried on train-carts and used as impromptu artillery during the Battle of Kuat in nu-Canon.
