A/V SOLO: A Star Wars Story (untagged spoilers allowed)

Absolutely, although I feel like that's occurring on both sides unfortunately.

I honestly think the movie we need as a fandom is the Obi-Wan movie. That has to be the most uncontroversial, safest movie they could do.

 

Filoni has a hand in all the movies. He's part of a Lucasfilm "brain trust" that works with the movie directors to help them keep things Star Warsy. The Art of TLJ goes into some detail on it. Plus we know he was involved with things like the very early story-spitballing and concept art creation for TFA, and designed at least one prop for TLJ.

 

Anyone happen to know who reps that "pro-TLJ" group? I wanna sign up

Yeah, I'm going to step away for the next couple weeks myself. The discussion has reached that tipping point where the spoiler tags aren't really hiding the spoilers anymore.

I wouldn't necessarily say the reviews so far have been mixed. A lot of the critics said there were things they didn't like about TLJ as well but overall they really enjoyed the movie. Same goes for Solo.

 

The Art of TFA has a few concept art pieces in it that Filoni did. But they're all early, from the stage when Lucas was still overseeing it before Abrams was attached (which makes sense, given Lucas's grooming of Filoni).

Plus, it seems like the general voice cast that Filoni assembled for his shows is the group that Lucasfilm uses for the minor ADR stuff for the movies.

I mean I guess since Jason is friends with Steele that Steele gave him the in to go.

As for the inviting themselves, we can't stop people from making more spoiler sites, but I don't think Lucasfilm is just gonna invite any yotuuber/blogger they want without some degree of professionalism otherwise Mike Zeroh would have been invited for infamy alone. Now if they ever invite IDK...Star Wars explained to one of these things I can get since he has a healthy mix of professionalism and notoriety that would fit the bill.

But this is turning into a who to invite discussion and not a Solo film discussion so I'll leave it at that before we called on.

 

Thath's intresting. I knew Filloni was involved with the latest movies and all, but didn't know he was since beginning, but makes sense. I think his influence with the movies will get bigge now, with what he ha done with solo.

no exactly, but in each movies he gets to put things in there. I'm sure originally it would have been a new crime lord. But like with Saw Guerra, Story group and Dave mentions like Maul was a gangster in clone wars and he be perfect as crrime boss in Solo.
