How is Anakin not burning his cloak?

I love their meeting in the excerpt. Very Thrawn and very Anakin. Bodes well.

 

That's..... Actually kind of tame in comparison.

Of course, I'm smart enough not to have any empirical evidence to contribute.

 

Some good stuff there. I’m liking the vibe of it, and it’ll be nice to have a canon novel where Anakin is at least one of the leads. Plus, Prequel era Zahn is a refreshing change of pace.

 

I'm hoping some re-canonization of Outbound Flight and/or the Vaagari (to a degree).

 

Totally here for the Mara Jade aesthetic. (Force, I miss that character! Guess this will have to do.)

 

If a Jedi Master by the name of C’Baoth gets mentioned my head will explode.

Clearly referring to Supreme Chancellor Palpatine's valiant efforts to drain the Coruscant swamp.

I read the excerpt and I’m super excited. Thrawn reminds me of Sheldon Cooper with his constant correcting of Anakins pronounciation of his name lol

I'm hoping for some recanonized Vong or a little bit of Snoke since we're pretty close to the Unknown Regions.

 

It does occur to me, that we might see a Zahn-written Padme in this novel. That's a notion that fascinates me.

 

Yes, especially since we didn't get the Padme YA. So far, Zahn writes Anakin pretty well.

 

Whatever happened to that book anyway?

 

I don't think it was ever "officially" announced, and if it was in the pipeline it kind of....went away.
