The annexation of Croatia starts tomorrow

 

Hey let's redo the vote now for the semis.

 

Well I'm gonna miss the semi final as I'm at the theatre that night. But that's good as if we lose, I don't want to see it, and if we win, then I get to watch the final.

But I love Croatia.

 

I won't get to watch the semis live. Gonna have to do a blackout to watch them when I get home with no spoilers.

 

The last time Croatia went to the half finals, they lost, and so did the Netherlands, so they played each other. Croatia came in 3rd, Netherlands came in 4th.
I remember the score but I don't remember the game, and Frank de Boer (who played then) is now on TV saying he doesn't either.

 

Three out of four swmi-finalists in my.office pool, not too bad. Stupid England.


Shows what a crap-shoot penalties can be: Croatia haven't taken their penalties particularly well, but won both. If the keeper goes in the wrong direction, every shot is good

 

England, full of confidence, get a semifinal against a team coming off consecutive games that went to penalties, and have their first choice keeper seemingly having injured his hamstring?

Geez, it is coming home

 

Take a look at that penalty where the Russian totally missed the goal. No matter where the goalie went, that would still be a crap shot.

 

Belgium look so far out of our league, the only way we stand a chance is if Inty gives them his support (aka The Inty Kiss of Death).

 

I hope Belgium beats France, but I expect France will beat Belgium.
I hope England beats France, but I expect France will become world champion.

 

Yeah, I don't think we can take France either. But I really don't want France to win.

 

There's this English guy who lives down the street. He's had an English flag out since the tournament began.
He also had that flag four years ago. Then after two weeks and England was out, the mf changed it to a Brazilian flag! And only when Brazil lost, he got his Dutch flag out. The Netherlands lost the next day.

If England makes it to the finals, I'm going to get me either a French or a Belgian flag, just to nag that guy

 

I think Belgium will go all the way.

Hopefully a great semi-final between them & France

My mom has declare she's making Belgian waffles tomorrow for dinner and Shepherd's pie on Wednesday. I've actually gotten my parents to watch and care about the World Cup.
