Love! I've been trying to figure out what kind of star wars tattoo I want, and I think I want some ship silhouettes, like that xwing on the sleeve. But tiny version lol

 

I really wish we had gotten an NJO soundtrack

 

I'd love it but can use the movie soundtracks for a lot of it.
Jedi Steps for the end of Traitor or another big Force moment,
I Can Fly Anything for Jaina flying,
Duel of the Fates for Ganner's death,
The Battle of Hoth (Ex when the retreat signal is activated, for any retreat in the series),
The Falcon theme for the Falcon,
Etc.

 

Duel of the fates doesn't fit the gravitas of Ganner's last stand very well I think.

You guys have ANY Idea how long I was up there for?! I started hallucinating that I had to be at school for 4 years and then I started TEACHING at the school. . .it was so weird. Me a Teacher. . .nah. . .

Indeed! The Shadows of the Empire one isn't too bad, but obvs NJO would have a much different tone. I liked what John Powell did with Solo soundtrack, it has a lot of variety. NJO would have to be darker, Harry Gregson-Williams would have been a good choice.

 

Indeed they do. Anyway I fully believe an NJO adaptation is possible-and a part of me still really wishes it could have happened.

 

I've always thought Vong war would be so excellent to see in movies/tv. Still would love to see.

Still makes a great long rereading experience though!

 

The Fall and Liberation of Coruscant would be amazing to see on the Big Screen.

 

Heck yeah! I would watch that.

 

The Fall of the Capital. Completely felt that. Unlike the destruction of the Hosnian System in the new movies.
So many moments from the books, that were so impactful.
Also, the Galaxy united in reclaiming Coruscant. How is E9 going to come close to topping that?

 

Indeed! And I don't think it will. Given the situation with the e8 film... Heck, the EU books were more impactful than the recent movies! Characters that you loved (both good and bad) and amazing stories.

The Fall of the Capital. Yeah. I'd definitely go and see that.

 

I adore the new movies, so I think I'm just learning to separate the books from the new stuff. Books are just entirely different style of story telling so even if they did make a giant series adaption of NJO or our faves books, theres just no way it could come out exactly as we want it lol. I love books so I think I can be happy just reading them lol.

 

Oh I definitely understand. And you're right. Both movies and books can be enjoyable in their own rights. I didn't mean it in a bad way. Sorry about that.

 

I also assume a lot of vong stuff maybe isnt kid friendly enough for movies haha. All the scarring and sacrificing are a bit intense lol. The movies have always been a bit more family friendly but we got the good dark stuff in the books lol.

 

Oooh yeah... Very true. Yeah, we gotta keep that kid-friendly PG-13 going. ^_^;
