I'm going to guess we can expect more of these for the other monsters soon.

I like how they're filling in the years between films with this though.

Have always had a soft spot for Mothra. That image had me giggling like a kid.

The man in the rubber suit stepping on toy trains and destroying model sets one of the best things to ever hit the silver screen.

Michael Dougherty, director of the upcoming Godzilla: King of Monsters tweeted the below image of a new version of the Oxygen Destroyer. Many of you may know that this device was used in the original 1954 movie.

I'm the opposite since I could never take Mothra seriously. Did pick up Mothra vs Godzilla on DVD for $5 at K-Mart the other day. Plan on watching it soon since I've never seen it all the way through.

I didn't realize the Godzilla series is now available on Netflix. I'll try and catch some of the episodes over the weekend.

Here's the quick summary of IGN's review:

Planet Of Monsters where they have driven humans to small numbers and resources are dwindling. So, this is the plot to Reign Of Fire.

I saw Netflix's Godzilla: Planet of Monsters over the weekend and I thought it was a really good piece of scifi with human abandoning earth because of Godzilla and the concepts employed thereafter.

However, I don't think the folks that did not like the 2014 Godzilla movie will like this one either due to the lack of Godzilla onscreen. It's interesting to note, the anime design of Godzilla resembles the U.S. 2014 movie version of the monster.

Bradley Whitford, Kyle Chandler, and Charles Dance. In the same movie. I’ve never had any interest in Godzilla, but those are basically my three favorite actors, all in the upcoming sequel.

Is the film from a few years ago worth a watch, T2Q?

Yes. The start is a slow burner but the end is sheer Toho level splendor.

I think so, yes. As Chorus says, it's a slow burn. But as long as you don't expect to get a lot of Cranston, see a lot of Godzilla until towards the end (he's present throughout but not fully revealed until later- he's not the ever-present star like Kong was in Skull Island, however) and can accept the monsters always showing up where the hero is, I think it ultimately pays off.

Also, Quicksilver is married to Scarlet Witch in this movie, so that's a little weird, too. ;)

The Godzilla cinematic universe is coming together quite nicely. Kong: Skull Island was great and didn't sacrifice its story to serve setting up the Godzilla shared universe; unlike Universal's attempt at their monsters' "Dark Universe" with The Mummy.

And from the pic above, it doesn't look like Godzilla went on a diet, as he still has the typical America body type. He probably had one too many Big Macs.

I can't wait to see the footage that is supposedly be featured at SDCC. I wish there was another Godzilla pop up sight at SDCC, like back in 2014.

Be accurate. He did not eat a few Big Macs. He would have eaten a few McDonaldses.
