What: Toys-For-Tots Troop led by the 501st Legion
When: November 17th (Saturday), 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM.
Where: The Disney Store inside Lynnhaven Mall in VA Beach.
Lynnhaven Mall generates a lot of foot traffic during this time of the year, so this will be a lot of fun!
I am extending an invitation to all canon & non-canon costumed members of the Hampton Roads Rebellion FanForce, Rebel Legion, and Tidewater Alliance FanForce to maximize participation in our area.
There's a strong chance you'll be able to change in the backroom of the store. Details to follow as event get closer.

To reduce congestion in the mall/kiosks areas, Lynnhaven Mall Management would like us to break the group up into 2 groups, each with a different shift (11AM - 1PM & 1PM - 3PM). I anticipate there will be 5-8 costumers in each group. There will be a Marine on hand on each shift to monitor the TFT donations.
Please indicate which shift you would like to be in. I will be in both shifts to liaise with the Marine Corp contact, Disney Store Manager, and Mall Manager.
I would like to achieve a "balance" between armored costumes and soft costumes, so bear in mind I may ask you to move over if I feel there are too many costumes of one category in a group.
Prop weapons will be allowed in public.
Due to limited space in the Disney Store's backroom, we cannot change there. You must find an alternative place to change either in the parking lot or in the Lynnhaven Mall bathrooms. All your belongings will be your responsibility to care for. We cannot leave them inside the store, even on a temporary basis, while we troop.

I will do the morning shift so that my boy is not ALL ALONE.
I will be sporting the elite Royal Guard (yes a new costume for me).
We need more input and people from the HRR to step up for this. Since this is not a canon only event, go to the costume store to buy something Star Wars related and come out. THIS IS NOT ONLY FOR CANON costume holders.

Sure. Non-costumers are most welcome! You can assist with photography if you'd like. Also, you can be a handler/wrangler (for those over-eager kiddies who want to break our costumes) and assist with any costume malfunctions.
