Here are some pics of my homebrew DC-15 Long Rifle. It's got some flaws, mainly due to my decison to use a plastic nerf rocket launcher. It is much lighter than regular PVC; the prime reason why I went with it. And there is only so much you can do with balsa/basswood, thin plywood, foam board, and limited time. It's 53.5" long. Most stuff that I've researched say the blaster can fall between 52"-54" long. It's super-lightweight; drawback is that it can probably damage easily due to using 'light' wood. A lot of mods will definitely come later.
Used Krylon flat black and gloss black for certain parts.
Used Krylon Fusion nickel color for the scope.

Here's an updated pic of my blaster. Things i've done: Trimmed the rifle butt, Made a bigger scope from 2" PVC, Added that little triangle thingy at the bottom, did more weathering.
I'll be building up the mid-section next few weeks.

Thought I'd post pics of my Treadwell Droid in progress. The base is a 1:12 scale RC tank. Canopy is basswood and foam board, and thin plywood. Neck is plumbing pipes. Only the neck will rotate. For the last year, it's taken a back-burner due to the IMP costumes i was developing, but this spring, I'll be getting back into it. Don't plan on spending too much dinaro on this thing; just something fun for me to play in the driveway when I have a few precious moments to myself. I'm hoping it'll be done in time for the Zoo Boo gig this fall! I think the kids will dig it and break it!
