Don't you think it's up to the group who is sponsoring said event? Also, I think Velcro was asking a GENERAL question. The derby we were invited to was a Star Wars themed event. That's not to say the next one will be.
Let's all cool our jets ont he costuming thing and just enjoy the new year!
