Here's a snippet about the population of bees dramatically declining. I think this is very important b/c bees are a fundametal component of the food chain. With less bees doing the world's pollination, comes less production of foods, that drives grocery food price even higher!

Severe Thunderstorms in Hampton Roads!
This afternoon, during the severe thunderstorms, one of the big trees in my backyard came down. The only damage done was to the fence. The tree was actually located on an embankment along a narrow canal that snakes through my neighborhood; since that's city property, I believe, the city should take care of it; insurance should take care of the rest of the damage.
