Hey everyone!

I know alot of us felt that ROTS was a bit rushed, and after recently finishing the book and comics, I see some good scenes that were taken out of the final release. For instance, Mon Mothma's scenes were completely cut out, especially the one that took place in Senator Organa's office, giving hints that she and Bail Organa were starting the Rebellion. Any other scenes that you would have liked to see?

thats like in the Art of Revenge of the Sith, they had a young Han Solo being raised by Chewbacca. I think that would have been cool to see and explain why the two are so close in the original movies.

I was reading "Making of Star Wars Reenge of the Sith" and there were a lot of scenes taken out. I'm glad they took out the scenes between Obi-Wan and Padme that is suppose to make Anakin think they were having an affair, but I really would have like that they kept a scene where Obi-Wan tells Pdme he is worried about Anakin- it was hinted at when Anakin asked Padme if Obi-Wan was there earlier.

The one I really wanted to see that was taken out took place shortly before Padme asks Anakin to talk to Palpatine about stopping the war. There was supposed to be a scene there where she said, "It's a boy." He then feels her stomach, feels the baby kick and says, 'A kick that strong? Definitely a girl." I thought that would have been a cute scene to have in there.

Obi-Wan: Your father wanted you to have this ... well, I think he did, he was screaming a lot, so he might have said 'I hate you.'
Luke: What?!?
Obi-Wan: *cough* Nothing... so you wanna be a Jedi?

According to the Making of Reven of the Sith book.. there is a scene onboard General Grevous ship that they escape battle droids and swim through a flooded power room.. and droids are attacking them.. and of coarse.. Adi Gallia getting killed.. the book shows a scene with greivous stabbing her and another with here meditating at the temple and anakin standing behind her.. which I supposed means he killed her..

uscmbuzz, I believe you are referring to the conceptual storyboard scene with Shaak Ti (not Adi Gallia) being murdered by General Grievous.

That scene was "flipped and flopped" -- in otherwords, Lucas opted to interchange Grievous for Anakin and the Invisible Hand for The Jedi Temple. The scene was shot and cut during post-production. It features Anakin entering a meditation room (?). Shaak Ti sits perched on a cushion calmly meditating, while Anakin approaches her from behind with his lightsaber engaged.

The scene with Padme and Anakin discussing "sides" -- I too wish the proceeding moment (with Padme and Anakin commenting on their baby being a boy or a girl) would have stayed.

Also:

- Padme's FIRST visit from Obi-Wan. Many "non-fans" have asked me how Obi-Wan was so oblivious to Anakin and Padme's realtionship if he was constantly with Anakin? Well he wasn't oblivious, GL just assumed that we are all bright enough to understand through CS or if not ask others who do ... anyway I think that scene could have helped stifle a few uncessary questions and it connects to the "lost" scene between Padme and Anakin.

- The Senator meeting in Bail's Office (and I there is also one in Padme's Apartment as well I believe) -- this scene highlight's Padme's, Bail's, and Mon Mothma's push towards "resistance" of the Chancellor's tyrannical rule -- which of course later forms the Rebellion. I liked the idea of having both the Empire and the Rebellion in their birthing stages ... too bad nearly all things hinting at the Rebellion never made it into the final cut.

In the comics it showed that chamber of water to be fuel, and showed the battle droids walking in it while Anakin and Obi-Wan swam away. That fuel tank supposedly exploded, causing General Grevious' ship to break apart and fall to Coursant. I liked the movie better, showing a Star Destroyer just hammering his ship with cannon-fire. Reminded me of an epic sea battle, like from Master & Commander, as the ships passed each other, just pounding the hell outta each other. Also in both the book and the comics, it showed Yoda meditating and speaking with Qui-Gon-Jinn, with Yoda saying at the end "your apprentice I shall be". I wish they kept that in.

I'd like to see the Delegate of the 2000 story line re-inserted, and the scene where Obi-wan comes to Padme's apartment to express concern about Anakin. Oh, and I'd like the whole scene where Palpatine assigns Anakin to the council back in. That scene was actually shortened for the theatrical release.

Ok, I finally went up to Plano last weekend and saw RotS in DLP. Now call me blind if need be but I didn't see any different scenes in this one from the regular print. It really ticked me off because I had heard there was something extra in the DLP version, thats why I went up to se it. One guy that came in my store had told m that it was the scene with Qui-Gonn's ghost that was added. Lucas was an idiot for not including that one. I know it was filmed because Liam Neeson said so in an interview I read. Was it something that was just so insignificant that I missed it or was it not any different? Please let me know.

Would have really liked to have see that scene with Mon Mothma and Bail Organa. That would really have been nice. Hopefully it will be on the DVD, and then it can be seen at least and it will be the next best thing to having it in the movie.

OnlyOne, just now saw your new sig. THAT'S FUNNY! happy

Thanks for the info Karnor. I was going to go see it in DLP for the same reason. I was also told the DLP version had more scenes than the original release. It's funny, because the credits on starwars.com show that Qui-Gon-Jinn and Mon Mothma's characters were supposed to be in it. Hope you're right about the DVD release.

Only One, I like the sig you got on there too. Hopefully GL will edit ANH again and when Vader sees Obi-Wan again, he can put in "I still hate you!!" LOL

Hey guys I just thought I'd chime in on this thread. As far as I know the DLP and the regular version are the same. AOTC only had one scene difference which was seeing Anakin's golden mechanical hand at the very end when he was marrying Padem. However, I havn't read anything or heard from my friends that saw it in Austin say there were new scenes.

The differences I noticed were a crisper picture, the CGI looked better and a major difference with the sound. Actually the sound was very noticable to me, especially the sonic mines from SlaveI and the lightsabers.

As for deleted scenes, I would like to see more of Padme than just a few lines with Anakin, having a baby, and then "losing the will to live." Apparently, Anakin turning to the darkside wasn't clear enough so more of their interaction was cut as well as the whole forming of the Rebel alliance. Of course the biggest thing I'd like added is Darth Vader, in his mechanical state, terrorizing the galaxy.

KarnorJax, I saw both in regular theater and DPL. I hadn't noticed any changes, besides what Darthmusic mention about quality of sound and picture. No ghost of Qui-Gon, no speaking part for Mon Monthra. Though I noticed in DPL that Baby Luke, in Obi-Wan's arms when he was showing Luke to Padme, looked like he was pasted in then Ewan actually holding a prop/real baby in his arms.

Anyway, I really don't think I would buy Obi-Wan and Anakin swimming in fuel. If the fumes don't kill them, wouldn't actual contact to the fuel hurt them? Yeah, it's the physics of a GFFA, and the ships might actually be fueled by water, but there is an explosion due to the fuel contacting some electric cells or what ever, and I would be bothered by it.

I saw Liam Neeson on some show talking about Batman. While on the show he was asked about ROTS, and he said that fans online kept insisting that he had a small part in the movie. He denied all claims that he was supposed to be in the movie. He had been told that his voice would be heard in ATOC but never did he show up to shoot any scene for ROTS.

Well, I guess that explains why Liam wasn't in ROTS. I had never heard anything other than rumors and internet speculation for him to be in the movie. I guess he just confirmed for sure he had no part in ROTS.

Dude, don't go see ROTS in DLP for extra scenes (of which there are none). Go see ROTS in DLP because it is spectacularly beautiful.

I, too, would like to see the Delegation of 2,000. We see the rise of the Empire, why should we not see the rise of the rebellion? I assume we will get these deleted scenes on the DVD. Ah...November 8. drooling
