At last week's meeting, we had a small discussion about webcomics, so I thought I'd post links to some of my favorites here.

Adventures of the S-Team
http://ianthealy.comicgenesis.com/
A friend of mine has been running a good webcomic the last couple years and asked if existing fans could do a drive to get folks over to see it. It is done almost entirely in Lego and full of fanboy jokes, which I enjoy a great deal.
Be sure and leave a comment or two to let him know what you think of it.

Reasonably Clever
www.reasonablyclever.com
Another Lego comic. There are character and story cross-overs to S-Team, so if you like one, you should like them both. Also, the advent calendar he does each holiday is fun, and there is a ton of other great stuff on the Reasonably Clever site, like the "mini-mizer", where one can custom-build a lego mini-figure picture, or even have it built and shipped to you!

Dinosaur Comics
www.qwantz.com
For using pretty much the same drawings over and over again for five years, this is surprisingly funny. I nearly always get a good chuckle from it.

XKCD
www.xkcd.com
A crudely-drawn comic about romance, sarcasm, math, and more. This is one of the nerdiest comics ever, with jokes about mathematical concepts, software code, and the best way to escape from a wounded velociraptor.

Sacred Pie
http://www.sacredpie.com/main.html
A well-drawn comic that has been fun reading. They only update it once every couple weeks, but it's a great read.

Yak's Pub
http://yakspub.wordpress.com/
A figure done by a fellow in Dallas using Star Wars figures. Definitely a good one for us sci-fi fans.

Hey Ian & guys

Those are cool, I had not seen any of them. Some look like they have lots of backstory that will take time to get up to speed on.

I also mentioned one podcast, Star Wars Action News, which may or may not be of interest to anyone.

http://www.swactionnews.com/ is the URL

There is an itunes link at the top, it's free of course and is a podcast about Star Wars collecting. While the Force cast is about news, this one has no news just what is hitting stores.

The two podcasters are pretty funny, and it's a nice listen on the way into work.

I think they are going to have a table at that convention in Dallas this weekend.

Cheers
