The Hollywood Bowl Presents:
John Williams, a Hollywood Legend
Saturday, August 30, 2008 at 8:00 P.M.
I'll gladly take care of arrangements for the IEFF, but I'll be getting the tickets through Valedakor from the LAFF. She'll be making the call for reservations on January 7 The tickets should be somewhere between $20 & $25.
This will be the official thread for the event, so I'll need everyone to repost if your interested and how many tickets you think you'll need.

Good news:
TICKETS DON'T HAVE TO BE PAID FOR UNTIL MID JUNE!!
If you think you might want to attend this event, go ahead and reserve tickets. They can be cancelled prior to paying for them without a problem.
Better to reserve now and cancel later than to decide later you want to go and not be able to get tickets with us. It won't cost you anthing until mid June.
At this point, I'm only ordering 10 tickets:
JF - 3
HSF - 3
HC - 4
TICKETS WILL BE ORDERED ON MONDAY MORNING.
Let me know before then if you want to reserve tickets.

I NEED TO KNOW BY TONIGHT IF YOU WANT TICKETS RESERVED.
Remember, no money is due until mid-June and they can be cancelled before then at no cost.
If there's a even the smallest chance you want to go, reserve a few!

Here's who I have and how many ticket reservations they requested:
JF - 4
HSF - 3
HC - 4
SY - 3
CUJ - 1
15 tickets
I went ahead and reserved 20 for the IEFF, so there are 5 still available. To make it easy, I'll say all money is due on June 1st. I'll post more information as I continue to get it. Be sure to continue to keep me updated regarding ticket need.

Gah. I just checked the Bowl website. No mention anywhere of any Star wars music. Looks like a tribute to the MGM musicals. I know this doesn't mean there won't be any Star wars music, but I'd still feel pretty stupid showing up with lightsaber in hand and have no Star Wars music at all. I'd still want to go (hearing a live orchestra is amazing!), but I'm having doubts as to whether or not to go Star wars geek on this one.

Anybody that made ticket reservations, I need to get the money at our meeting on next Saturday.
Cara, if you go and bring your light saber, you'll only look like about 100+ other "geeks" that will be doing the same. It's an amazing site and a terrific feeling to light that baby up when the master is directing our anthem life!
