Really? I was gonna say, for someone who loves Boba so much, I'm surprised he doesn't have one already. Way to go!

I bought a battle padme costume off of eBay. It'll be the first costume I haven't made, so it should be interesting to see it in person. From the pictures it seems to be accurate, except for the armband and I'll probably make my own belt, but I got it for only $65 (plus shipping from China). Plus they make it to my measurements. Cross yer fingers!

I hope you don't think I'm copying you, Nikol. You have 1st dibs on wearing yours when we're at an event together. You had it first! happy

That's okay. grin I've kind of wanted to make a New Hope Leia, but just haven't wanted to get into it and I didn't want to step on any toes. wink

I really want to do the Naboo Invasion costume. That's top on my list.

My dream costume is Boussh though. grin How is yours coming?

LOL. I guess we're both anti-toe-smashy.

Ah, my Boussh is coming along very slowly. I originally wanted to have it ready for ComiCon, but that's not going to happen. I've got the kit for the bandolier, and I;ve got the helmet, but it needs work, I've got the jacket made, I've got the pants but need to add the pleated stuff and stains, and I've been on the lookout for shoes. I just started working on the gloves. It's going to be a long process. hypnotized

Curtis, are you familiar with the gauntlets from Leather Mystics. (that certainly sounds a bit kinky shock ) The x-wing group has been directed to them to order gauntlets. Would you take a look and see what you think? Thanks!

Hi Kari,
I'm not Curtis, but I play with one on-line. laugh I was looking for a couple hours today for gloves for my costume and the price is always around $40-$50. So these that you have the link for seem really inexpensive, which is great. But I will say they seem to be made cheaper. I'm looking at the seems inbetween the fingers and they seem thick (a sign of a lesser quality glove), but that doesn't mean they are bad, just less quality.
Are you doing a group order or can you wait to order individually? If so I'd wait to see someone elses and turn the glove inside out to look at the guts.

Do you try on the clothes of the Curtis you play on-line with, too??? laugh

Aren't Curtis' made of deer leather? I just took a look at some deer hide gloves and they look sooooooo much nicer. No, I'm not gonna be a lemur and blindly follow the group on this one. I want my gauntlets to be soft and high quality.

As a matter of fact, I do try on his clothes.... Kay' this sounds weird if you don't the joke... PLEASE understand, there is a joke tongue

Not sure which ones Curtis got, but all the ones I looked at today that are recommended from the Jolly Roger are made of deer leather and really soft.
I'll go look up the links and post them for you.

Kay''' I just went and looked over at the Jolly Roger site and the head guy, TARG, wears EXACTLY the gloves that were recommended to you. He says they are great gloves, wear well, fit nice and are 100% screen accurate. Something to think about at least.

Well, DUH! I never thought about going over to the Jolly Roger site! Sometimes the simplest solutions are the hardest to see!

Do you realize that your affliction is contagious? I actually asked to try on the Sand Trooper helmet. There were no flight suits hanging around, so that was all I tried on.

Not sure it's an affliction, more of a brain defect laugh a Complusive need to find out the answers without paying for them.....

BTW, I still think I'll order mine from the cop shops, the deer leather ones. I'm really a glove persona and that is a detail that will matter to me. Lots of other ones I can fudge on, but i like a good glove....

Non-knitted type gloves tend to slip off my hands. Guess they're just a funny shape?? I really want to try some on before I purchase. Do you know of a shop????

I almost ordered those gloves before I found mine. People say they are stiff so I figured for an extra $20 it was worth it to get the Demascus gloves and I love the way they feel..... grin

Minda is right, they are 100% accurate.

You will get the good ones hypnotized

Curtis happy
