Ok everyone, I finally got the information about the Callahan Christmas Parade for this year. I need to know who is interested in coming and commited to being there. I have to send the entry form back in by November 11 with an approx. amount of persons involved. I don't want to turn in a form claiming to have a good turn out and only 3 people show up, that would not be cool!!! I would like to maybe see some of the people from the 501st and rebel legions too (if anyone can put a bug in their ears). This is a really neat thing for our group to be a part of. It's a major event in Nassau County. Not only do they have the parade, but a craft show, B-B-Q's, contest, concerts....its an all day event. But the parade is only about an hour long. It's a great family event too. Below is the information I recieved from the chamber of commerce.
Greater Nassau County Chamber of Commerce Christmas Parade 2006
The annual Christmas parade will be held on Saturday, December 2, 2006. Our theme for this years parade is "Celebrate a Patriotic Christmas". All entrants must have completed their line-up by 10:00 a.m.: the parade is scheduled to start at 11:00 a.m. Parade route forms on Dixie Avenue and will disburse on 5th Ave. All entrants are required to complete full parade rounte. A copy of the route together with your entry number will be sent to you at a later date.
*Deadline for the entries is November 11, 2006.
