	This thread is to announce the first annual Las Vegas comic-con. October 31 thru November 2. $45 for all 3 days or $20 per day at the door. The 501st has a booth already. So far it looks like a really good turn out. I hope to see as many of you as possible. The official site is www.lasvegascomiccon.com Just to let you guys know. I have been bombarded with E-mail from other fan-force members outside of Nevada wanting a fan-force booth. I think with communication with the other groups you guys can pull this off. I'd really hate to see someone else steal the glory from you guys. EM me personally for detailed contact info. Most of it is on the site but I'd rather keep the contact to a minimum for each group so as to not have any communication breakdowns. Just to give you an idea of what we did in San Diego. Between the 501st and the fan-force group in San Diego. We escorted celebrities to and from autograph booths. Kept lines straight at star Wars related booths. I.E. Piazzo, Hasbro, Master Replicas to name a few. We helped with the Lucasfilms awards. Held panels of our own had the celebrities at our own booths. (LOTS of photo ops.) I personally got to have breakfast with Jeremy Bulloch, Daniel Logan, Steve Sansweet, one of the execs at Hasbro, the editor or Star Wars Insider, and a few others from Lucasfilm that I didn't know. Not including the 501st dinner I attended the night before. I'm coordinating with alot of groups but would really like to see a large portion of your group pull this off. There are alot of aggressive fans that are chomping at the bit but like I them I would contact the Henderson/Vegas group again for the opportunity first before handing over the torch. E-mail is the fastest way to contact me during the week. Oh, did I mention we took over the Star Wars Galaxies booth? Check out the official sites for pix. 	I'm not an active member here(haven't made any meetings and I don't play the RPG or CCG stuff nor own a costume) but am planning to attend the Con since I'm a big comics collector. That would be awesome to have a nice booth like the San Diego Society guys do and to help out with the SW celebs like they did. Is it for certain that LFL. Paizo, Hasbro, WOTC are coming? I saw an early celeb list you posted while back and though small, still looks pretty impressive if they all do come. 	OKay, so what's the latest news on celebs? Besides the comics pros that is? By now we should be seeing a media blitz on tv and radio waves but I haven't seen any. Seems people don't seem to care. Hope the people involved give us a complete list soon to generate some postive buzz. 	According to the latest LVCC update, Mark Hamill, Luke Skywalker himself, is set to swing by. Hmm, is that cool or what? Oh, and the guy that played Nien Numb too. I thought the local 501st mentioned that Peter Mayhew was coming? Still no news about the Matrix Twins, Persephone, or Ray Park actually coming here... Looks like its going to be a great Con, exhibitor-wise though as almost all the major comic book companies, including Dark Horse seem set to come. 	Don't know how much he'll be charging. I think he'll be sharing a table along with his cast of the Comic Book Movie. They may have a booth too. Its usually free if its at a booth. Photo op! 9 more days. Anybody psyched for the Con or what? Dark Horse Comics may be the sole Star Wars related booth other than the local 501 and FF, right? I mean, Hasbro and Paizo aren't listed as having booths. I don't know about you folks but I sure am excited! A lot of the San Diego folks are coming down so I hope to meet some of them there. I contacted couple of the local news media like Fox 5, KVBC 3, and KLAS 8 but haven't had any responses.
