THERE'S A PROBLEM ON THE BOARDS

If it is an emergency of the following proportions:
    • Extreme Flaming
    • Extreme Foul Language
    • Porn
    • Spamvertising
    1. Proceed to the Mods Online Page. Select a moderator's profile by clicking on their name.
    2. Click the Send Private Message link above the the field UID. It is on the left hand side, find the "User Name:", "Real Name:" boxes and follow them upwards.
    3. In the subject line put something to this effect: EMERGENCY - {emergency}.
    4. That may be EMERGENCY - PORN for example
    5. In the subject be sureto include a link to the thread(s) in question. If you're unsure of markup codes, don't bother. However, if you can't provide a link be sure to indicate the forum and what page the thread is on.
      • Mods, remember that users may have their preferences set to 25 or 50, so be sure you check the first few pages if your setting is lower.
    6. Continue steps 1-5 until the problem is resolved.

If it is a non-emergency problem with The Jedi Council

If it's an inappropriate thread, or post, or you have been banned
    1. If you have been banned, please see our What to do if you are banned thread here. Otherwise:
    2. Go to the profile of your forum moderator. There are usually links to the forum moderators in the individual forum headers. If there is no link, check the current moderator list here.
    3. Confirm that they have been online in the last 2 days by looking at the Last Login Date
    4. If they have been, PM them including a link to the thread. Additionally, say what page it is on.
    5. If they have not been online and the forum has multiple moderators, choose the next moderator in the header or list.
      • Mods, remember that users may have their preferences set to 25 or 50, so be sure you check the first few pages if your setting is lower.

If you feel a Mod wrongly locked a thread or behaved improperly
    1. Follow the procedures in the Moderator Complaint Resolution Process thread here.

If you feel there is a big problem in the JC that needs to be addressed
    1. Send a PM to one of the JC administrators. Currently they are: Grimby the Hutt, Rogue...Jedi, and LAJ_FETT. State what you feel needs to be addressed. Do not yell at them or say "You are wrong". Explain, as if you would to a two-year old, what you feel is wrong, what you feel they could do to correct the situation, what you think they could do to make sure it doesn't happen again.
    2. Wait 2 days after the admin has read the PM before moving on to another admin.
    3. When a matter requires conversation among JC staff, it can take anywhere from 3-7 days for a matter to be resolved thoroughly, and longer if it's a major issue. Please remember this, but do not feel you have to keep quiet. Sending out PM's requesting a status update every 4-5 days is acceptable.
    4. If you receive no response from any of them, go to the Communications Forum.
    5. Prepare a message containing your PM's sent , as well as PM sent and received dates to all admins.

If it is a problem with FanForce

If it's an inappropriate thread, or post, or you want to find out why you were banned
    1. If you have been banned, please see our What to do if you are Banned thread here. Otherwise:
    2. Go to the profile of your Regional Support Administrator (RSA). An up-to-date list can be found here in the Rules and Announcements forum. Scroll down the post for the Fan Force section.
    3. Confirm that they have been online in the last 2 days by looking at the Last Login Date
    4. If they have been, PM them including a link to the thread

If you feel an RSA wrongly locked a thread or behaved improperly
    1. Go to the profile of the RSA
    2. Compose your message to them containing the link to the post in which you believe they behaved improperly or the thread they wrongly locked. Do not yell at them or say "You are wrong". Explain, as if you would to a two-year old, what you feel they did wrong, what you feel they could do to correct the situation, what you think they could do to make sure it doesn't happen again.
    3. Send them the Private Message
    4. Wait Four days
    5. Go to Sent Private Messages
    6. Find the PM you sent to them, and see when or if they read it by looking in the Date Read Column
    7. Wait needed time for them to have had 4 days since they read it
    8. If 8 days have past since you sent it, and they still have not read it, or they have not responded and it is after 4 days since they read it, continue
    9. PM one of the GSA's (see the list here) with the complete PM you sent to the RSA, as well as Date Sent & Read times.
    10. Wait 2 days after the GSA has read the PM for a response before PM'ing another GSA.
    11. When a matter requires conversation among FanForce staff, it can take anywhere from 3-7 days for a matter to be resolved thoroughly, and longer if it's a major issue. 12. If you receive no response from any of them, go to the FanForce Communications Forum.
    13. Prepare a message containing your PM you sent to the RSA in question, as well as PM sent and received dates to all RSA's and admins in question.
