Oh btw I'm just reading the "Battle of Geonosis" pages[inside the worlds of AOTC and it confirms that the ship, seen being blown up in front of Mace & Yoda, did carry Jedi. The Fatalities include: Sora Bulq (mostly likely severely injured but was healed enough when we see him in the comics), Tarados Gon and Eeth Koth (yes according tot his he managed to escape the arena).
Thanks JKB! >>The Fatalities include: Sora Bulq (mostly likely severely injured but was healed enough when we see him in the comics)<< May I request a quote to see the context it's in? A fix for this might be needed. >>Tarados Gon and Eeth Koth (yes according tot his he managed to escape the arena).<< But it confirms his death outside the arena? >>WHAT? They died? How?<< We don't know yet- their deaths were first mentioned in their entries for the Power of the Jedi Sourcebook, with only a passing mention. Now, it seems this new book confirms Eeth's death.
POTJ sourcebook was sort of from a jedi's perspective, it's possible that they got some info wrong, like they did with certain facts about native ruusanians, Floaters, "aren't any other species of any concern", my foot...
Ok this is the official quote from the book: Mace, Yoda, Ki-Adi-Mundi & Kit Fisto witness a direct hit on one of the six gunships evacuating Jedi from the arena: fatalies include Jedi Sora Bulq and Tarados Gon, as well as High Council member Eeth Koth.
One should watch the movie closely and see where Agen Kolar went. If he got into that one, then it could be further mixup based on authors using older material to do research, and other later authors changing the name of the character. Anywho, POTJ never said the one that died, died in the arena, it just said he died fighting successionist forces. That would count the ships that they got into were also fighting the successionist forces during the battle of geonosis. Until the battle was completely over, one would continue to be fighting in the battle, from command ships, and any other positions.
well its clear to me from the film that Agen Kolar is the only Zabrak Jedi I see entering the gunship. I'm sure Eeth would have been in the final circle if he had entered a gunship but he wasn't as far as i can tell. I incline to agree with you Valiento it was most probably a mix up with the material the writer was using.
For further discussion on this matter check this thread out; Where I discuss how insider states that agen kolar is called eeth koth in earlier material, but he was renamed later by other authors because he was a different actor. But since that other material still exists to be refrenced it may have caused mixups, and could cause later mixups as well. Note that potj sourcebook came out before the renaming by other authors occured.
