Imagine ESB with Durge instead of Vader.

"Obi-Wan ne'er told ye who's yer daddy. I'm yer daddy, you little nerd! Now do me proud, and help me topple that ol' prune Palps off his throne! Then we'll whip this Empire inta shape. Oh yeah!"

Durge is great. I agree with Tam, he's so ridiculous that you've gotta love him. Everything he said in the comics made me laugh. He's also a real thug, which is a nice change from the usual villain, IMO. He's not your cool and calculating bounty hunter, or a tactical genius. Plus, he makes the Jedi around him look like complete morons; which is fine by me since I despise Prequel-era Jedi grin

Why is Durge coming out as a TPM card?
Besides, his picture looks a little less than impressive...

I agree, it's not a patch on the other CG Durge, which in turn isn't a patch on the comic book art.

As for Durge being in TPM set, I think it's just to get him in soon. Coming up next is a RotJ set so there wouldn't be a spot for him for a while.

TPM expansion is going rather comics-heavy though, with cards such as the Yinchorri fighters, Inferno, Quin (lets hope they don't butcher him with CG), and some others.

Now if only they upped the quality of the flavour text to that in the SWCCG.

yeah, WOTC's TCG "lore" is absolutely pathetic compared to Decipher's CCG (which is still, IMO, one of the best SW resources ever and probably helped define the classic era EU as much as WEG and early Bantam work).

I absolutley agree. One of the best things of the CCG was that everything is canon, all the information and such.

However the Prequel era is slightley limited, whereas you can flesh out Rebel and Imperial troops no end endless droids and clones don't have that much diversity.

Anyway, an example:

Quite frankly I'd expect better from WotC, who have the excellent RPG sourcebooks under their belt, and have shown with their MTG game that they are no stranger to producing quality flavour text / lore.

Anyway, I digress, back to Durge.

I have a nice feeling that he'll pop up in Blackman's lead-in.

Imaginatively, I guess...

I hope...

Or, alternatively, Kryptonite.

i forget where i read this but supposedly out of Ventress and Durge one of them will die the other lives but is "permanently changed" and may pop up in stuff after ep3.

i hope Ventress dies and Durge is somehow incarserated (carbonite maybe?)
