From the cover art, it looks like Durge will be appearing in Boba Fett # 4: Hunted.

::in reply to a poster who proposed that perhaps Durge was Jango::
Randy Stradley: For pure proof that Durge is not Jango, wait 'til you see what happens to Durge in Republic #53. Don't worry, though -- they grow back...

That rumor is ridiculous, but then, if Durge can grow back whatever Stradley's talking about, maybe he could grow back his head as well...

Well, the rumor is obviously bogus (newbie poster suggested it) but I provided it to give context to the tidbit of info Randey provided.

Ya know, though, that Jango thing did get me thinking though... what if Cydon and Durge were the same?
They have a very similar appearance (especially on that cover), and, judging by Durge's regenerative capabilities, he'd certainly be able to survive the destruction of his fightertank.
It's a wild theory, but, hey, food for thought

"Vader stabs himself through the chest to kill Maul in the SW Tales comic."
That particuler story is taken as being infinities non-continuity by Cerasi and others. Though many fans wish it to be part of continuity.

The point Val, is that a cybernetic organisms can survive massive damage, especially to the robotic half. Remeber Klingson from Marvel? He was a regular human who esentially gained immortality by becoming a "borg".

"The point Val, is that a cybernetic organisms can survive massive damage, especially to the robotic half."
The real point is one can't support continuity sources with non-continuity sources, non-continuity sources just don't have the same kind of "credibility". Remember Vader in ROTJ received massive amounts of damage and didn't survive it. The same could be said for Ton Phanon. Kligson is a credible source.

Vader died because the Emperor fried every circut in his body. Phan died because his organic half was too damaged by the crash. Cyborgs aren't invincible, but they can take tons more damage than normal organics. In either case, my point still stands. Especially the Klingson example.
A few "canon" examples
Klingson (Had most his body blown away and replaced)
Darth Vader (Got his arm cut off by Luke and kept fighting)
Valance (Took point blank blaster shots on several occasions)
That's in addition to Durge of course.
Satisfied?

Yep, I'm satisified with credible sources being used.

Is it me, or does the C and S in "clone wars" on #4's cover look like a cents and dollar sign?

"Klingson (Had most his body blown away and replaced)"
Android duplicate actually that was destroyed by that shot it isn't going to be seeing any use any time soon.
The Real Kligson on the other hand, never was damaged during the story. So that source doesn't support your belief, and vader probably wouldn't have survived the same kind of blast, if he took it like the android duplicate did.
Vader wouldn't survive a blaster bolt through his head as he kind of needs his head as that's where his brain is located, and he does have a central nervous system.
