RE: The Difinitive Durge (Officialdom Implied | Spoilers Herein)
Hrm, good point re: Durge and Prax. Moreover, the only source to really describe Cydon Prax in any detail so far was Crossfire; the rest kept info to a minimum as if he was meant to be a huge mystery. I'm just not sure how effective a "Durge is really Prax!" revelation would be storyline-wise though, as Prax died before he could really do anything terribly interesting
I hope Dooku offers life insurance or something, since being one of his minions doesn't seem like a long-term career gig, hehe.

RE: The Difinitive Durge (Officialdom Implied | Spoilers Herein)
Since we're on the topic of "damage" survivability, I thought I'd take the time to begin and maintain a list of Durge's "injuries":
Republic 51
:
Run through from behind with a lightsaber through lower, side of back ("kidney" area)
Shot with blaster in right, "glowing" eye
Republic 52
:
Slashed with a lightsaber through lower back ("spinal chord" area)
Shot with 2 blasters, one in each shoulder
Electocuted with bolas around neck
And this is all in one "episode"!
Did anyone else notice/think that Durge's other (non-blasted) eye had a red glow to it in
Rep. 52
?

Vader's armor was probably strong enough to block a blaser bolt or two to the head. Otherwise it would have been no better than stormtrooper armor. And for a Dark Lord of the Sith? I doubt he'd take a stupid chance like that. Even if the odds were 1,000,000 to 1 that he'd never get hit due to his skills.
And remember, infinities don't count!

The droid that shot the kligson duplicate android didn't just shoot it with a blaster but rather a high intensity chest cannon. I'm sure that would have done more to vader than an average blaster.

Unless of course he just raised his invincible glove.

Course the heat conducted through the glove would have still vaporized his internal workings, and most of the energy would have went past his hand,
. The blast as shown in the comic was much bigger than a hand about the size of his chest as I recall.

what if Durge is just a tiny slug hiding in the shoe of his 'body' -- wait, we've seen that one before.

jedimasterED... great idea for a thread... great way to collect and maintain information on an important new character that will be featuring in the Clone Wars.

I'm sceptical of this Durge character. He sounds like some kind of "kewl" combination of a James Bond henchman and a comic book supervillain.

Another note on cyborgs, in the Marvel comic where Lando returns to Cloud City (reprinted in A Long Time Ago #4) it is said that cyborgs can mentally focus energy onto things without touching them or something. Can someone double check this for me?
That said, Lobot is teh koolist!!!

I'm pretty sure that Durge cannot ever be destroyed by corporeal beings, and that he can destroy galaxies just by thinking about them.
Other than that, I think that he is a compelling villain with depth and vulnerabilities.

jedimasterED -
I am making a fan site on Star Wars (focusing mainly on the Old Republic) and I'm doing a section on what is known about Durge so far. I have not got all the sources you have quoted from, this thread is therefor very useful to me, so I was intending to put a "thank you" attribution to you on my site as you have posted all this useful info (credit where its due)
Is this OK?
I'll use your JC name, rather than your real name, unless you state otherwise and provide a link to this thread.
Just thought it was polite, as I didn't do all the work, and also I thought it best to ask.
I was trying to find an email address to you, but couldn't find one, so I posted here. Sorry, for stopping the flow of this thread

"Flow?" What "flow"? We had people discussing Cobra Commander and Vader's invincible glove for goodness sakes!
I appreciate the nod, though. Feel free to thank anyone who has posted useful information in this or any other topic. That's what makes fandom great.
You can always e-mail me at jedimasterED@fanforce.net, too. Thanks. You honor us all with your sense of propriety.
